Without reference to a particular month of time-frame, because there doesn't seem to be a point to that.
Currently on Lars Keppler's crime-thriller thing, Stalker, having abandoned any attempt to force myself to try and plough through Robert Newman's The Fountain at the Centre of the World.

I'm on the very last few pages of 'The Gulag Archipelago Volume 3'.
I took a break in between volumes 2 and 3 and read some other books. Not because it was difficult reading or boring (as some told me it would be), but strangely because I didn't want it to be over.
Next up is 'Crime and Punishment', from another Russian writer.

Finished "Broken promise" by Linwood Barclay. Now getting ready to start "far from true". Book 2 of a trilogy. Not generally a mystery lover, but these are good.

Next up is 'Crime and Punishment', from another Russian writer. First time, or a re-visit? If there's just one classic that really lives up to its reputation, I think that's probably it.

Just started it.. the drunk guy at the bar is prattling on humorously. Edit: That part ended up being sad, the poor drunk took all the money from his wife and 3 kids to go on a 5 day drinking spree! lol

I finished Below Suspicion by John Dickson Carr. An interesting read that went into an unexpected direction in its second half.
Currently reading The D. Case: Or the Truth about the Mystery of Edwin Drood by Fruttero & Lucentini
and

Just finished Turtle Diary, by Russell Hoban. Hoban, probably best known for children's fiction such as Emmett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas and the Frances the Badger series, here presents a short but memorable portrayal of middle-aged discontent and a unique, transient but transforming relationship between two like-minded people. Well worth reading; I wish the 1985 movie version were more readily available.
Currently reading Save Send Delete by Danusha V. Goska, a novel in the form of a series of e-mails following a debate between a "non-PC" devout Catholic and a committed atheist. Interesting and very informative about world religions.

A biography of the troubled young British playright Andrea Dunbar who wrote "Rita, Sue and Bob Too". She died tragically young and it's a good read called "Black Teeth and a Brilliant Smile" by Adelle Stripe.

I picked up a book from the library that I thought was by spy novelist Brian Freemantle. It wasnโt until I got home that I realized it was written by Brian FreeMAN. I looked up Freeman to find that I had checked out, โImmoralโ (2005) which had received a prize and several nominations from mystery writersโ groups for Best First Novel. Since, he has received other prizes and noms including the 2013 International Thriller Award for Best Novel for โSpilled Blood.โ I am going to get started on it right after posting this.
