I've a sneaking suspicion I've read this before. I've not actually started it yet, but it's next on the list.

Meryle Secrest’s Stephen Sondheim: A Life, a very interesting and in-depth biography of the composer.

Finished Smyrna 1922. Now reading stuff for a course - leadership stuff. And still adolescent literacy.

Different Seasons. I decided I'd read each of the novellas during each season this year they represent, so I just started Shawshank (Spring) with 2 days left.

Finished Shawshank (Spring) that same day, will do Apt Pupil (Summer) later. Right now I'm finally reading The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

In keeping with my custom, I'm actually reading several books at once (not to show off, but just because I'm not always in the right mood to read a particular work). I'm re-reading this: . The Ring of Fire series, which 1632 begins (by Eric Flint along with a number of different collaborators) I find endlessly interesting. I usually start my day with something of a spiritual/cultural/historical nature, such as this: And then there are several graphic novels I dip into now and then--I tend to alternate between DC and Marvel. Haven't yet got into manga. You may ask, do I always finish every book I start? Heck no! But there's always another one out there to tempt me. Note: out of consideration for those with delicate/apolitical sensibilities, I have refrained from posting an image of the political piece I'm working on-- Trump Is F*cking Crazy (this is not a joke) by Keith Olbermann. Funny, infuriating, sharp, and waaay too prescient for comfort.
