Nalkarj the only DeMille book I read was one from the seventies titled The Quest. It piqued my interest since the premise was up my alley. It was about a group of journalists covering the Ethiopian Civil War discover through a dying man's last words that the Holy Grail exists and now they launch a 'quest' (roll credits) to find it before other more sinister characters get their hands on it. The setup is interesting and it has good moments. But there's a lot of time devoted to a love triangle that wasn't as interesting as DeMille apparently thought it was.

I strongly recommend Mayday by Nelson DeMille (co-written with Thomas H. Block). It's about a passenger plane accidently struck by a missile. With the plane being barely flyable, three survivors attempt to land it but both the military and airline try to cover up the disaster. This book was so suspenseful and exciting, I literally could not put it down and spent all night reading it. Cathedral by DeMille was very good as well.

I'm reading this book, kinda sucks. The author makes the sentences needlessly difficult to read, for no good reason. I'll be glad when i am done with it.

Endless Night by Richard Laymon. I've read all of Richard Laymon's novels, but every once in a while I'll re-read one of them. And this one's Laymon at his nastiest (in a good way, of course).

Same here, I re read the odd one now and again (recently did the Island) but I tend to cringe a bit at the teenage wank fantasy aspects.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino (he novelized his own movie) Christ, he canβt resist indulging in his foot fetish even with the bloody cover.

Billy Summers by Stephen King What did you think of it? Iβm just finishing. Have to say it isnβt Kingβs best. Not a supernatural tale (other than the painting of the hedge animals) but neither was Mr. Mercedes. Okay but not a page turner

Just started rereading the Milligan war books myself. I've read them a dozen times, they're brilliant.
