Be interesting if the Burton-Schumacher series continued instead of being scrapped. I wonder what, if any, impact it would have on the comics? Maybe things would be radically different and many of the stories and characters that happened between 1997 and now never came to be.

Had the 90's films kept going it would have killed the Batman franchise, think about it under a different director who was respected an lauded director critically whilst a successful commercial film director yet 7 years after the turd that was B&R Nolan though he created one of the best Batman films to date and that film failed in being a financial success box office wise.
So if Nolan making a great film after a string of critical hits and financial success's with a big budget for not only filming but marketing couldn't turn a profit box office wise what chance was the guy who made B&R and Forever going to have?
I think Forever was fun in a goofy way, TLJ & Jim Carrey flip flop between so over the top it's hilarious to annoyingly stupid throughout, that's one of the problems of the Schumacher films in the series, there's no respect for the films, some may say oh the studio wanted it to be this but the studio wanted films they could market to kids so they could make $150-200m a year on merch like they got after Batman 89 & didn't get after Returns, that literally meant less scary and here use this we can sell toys of that, it didn't mean put nipples, codpieces and butt cheeks on all the hero costumes, nor did it mean disregard acting quality just get the dialog shot, this was WB not fucking George Lucas after all.
Schools perform Shakespeare plays every year the scripts are the same world wide, but it's being acted by kid...just how many of the probably ten of thousands of these are actually worth watching? I can eat a steak made of Kobe Beef or a beef lasagne made of horse meat *still remember this Iceland you cunts* the next day both of those meals turn into poop because that's what my body does with food regardless of quality, Schumacher does the same with CBM's...he turns them to shit...just incase you weren't following the metaphor.

I don't blame Schumacher for what happened with Batman Forever and Batman and Robin. Those changes were mandated by Warner Bros, who were upset with the dark tone of Batman Returns. They wanted Burton to lighten the tone and make it more family friendly and an overlong commercial. He refused and walked. Schumacher was just work for hire. If he chose to walk too, they would have gotten someone else to make the movie the way they wanted.

But it wasn't just the scripts were shit or aesthetics were ugly he couldn't coax a mediocre performance out of TLJ or Uma Thurman Academy Award nominee's/winners, also no way in hell WB mandated Batnips or Batbulges.
Think about it he had top quality performers in back to back movies and both gave performances that they should have been ashamed of that seems to be a director issue imo.

I guess we will never know but one thing I do think would have definitely happened if the series continued is we would have got to have seen more villains that haven't been used in movies yet and I remember reading there were plans to use Clayface and Man Bat in a movie before 'Batman' got rebooted with the Nolan movies and have long wanted to see Clayface in a movie and we have had him in a few episodes of 'Gotham' as you know but not in his huge clay monster form and I sadly don't think 'Gotham' have the money to pull that off and it would have to be done in a movie or one of the shows on the DC Online Streaming Service like 'Titans' depending on how much of a budget they get compared to 'Gotham' and the 'Arrowverse.' One thing I know apart from the other Batman movie 'Nightwing' and 'Birds Of Prey' movies were said to be happening and there was the original 'Catwoman' movie with Michelle Pfieffer which sounds like it would have been a LOT better than the Non-Catwoman movie we got.

I think Joel should have been sacked and replaced with another director with Paul Dini as the main writer. From what I read 'Arkham Asylum' and 'Arkham City' were originally written by Paul as movies and were later changed into video games after Warner Bros knocked them back and I think if they had gone through they would have been better than the Nolan movies but in order to have done it they would have needed an already established Batman since 'Arkham Asylum' is years into Batman's career when Dick is Nightwing and Tim Drake is Robin. I personally would have liked to have seen the whole 'Arkham' series going back to 'Arkham Origins' made into movies with some changes and a movie based between 'Arkham Origins' and 'Arkham Knight' with Barbara as Batgirl and Dick as Robin and another movie after 'Arkham Knight' with Barbara becoming Batman again with the addition of the Spoiler, Orphan and Batwoman (who was mentioned in 'Arkham Knight' but we never got to see her) taking over from Batman who would reveal himself to still be alive when a bigger threat came to 'Gotham.'

I can live without seeing Clayface in the movies. He's gross even in the old Batman cartoons. He reminds me of Slimer, who's the reason I hate Ghostbusters. Just filthy disgusting characters. Just hate 'em.

Regarding the performances, it's hard for me to say because the script may have called for them to act that way. About the batcrotch and nipples yeah, that's on the director. Maybe the folks at WB who watched the advanced screening thought it would be funny to see that on Batman. And I suppose, that says a lot about how they regard the character.

One of the things I like about this board. The thread titles often have nothing to do with what is being discussed

Just hate 'em. Well, I have to disagree. I would love to see Clayface in a 'Batman' movie and see Batman face Clayface in his clay monster form at the end and they could have him shapeshift into all different people throughout the movie and even shapeshift into Alfred and find out Bruce is Batman and attack him in the Bat Cave. A Horror fan I like to see more of the characters and I want to see Solomon Grundy, Man Bat, a proper Bane with the Venom or Titan and a proper sized Killer Croc who is the size he is in the Arkham games.

Was that a musical episode? All I saw was some cheesy karaoke at the start and the end of the episode. Why does Mon El have to sing?

i want to see a black lightning musical number with the legends of tomorrow I want to see Imra go undercover as a stripper. It is possible since they did it twice with Lois in 'Smallville' and I haven't forgotten the scene below but I think we have better chances of seeing her on a beach in a bikini 'cause they have to go to the beach at some point. They need to let her wear different clothes though. I mean who wears the same thing all the time?
