Released after Iron Man & prior to The Dark Knight, this reboot does seem the odd man out in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s also painfully by the numbers and pretty damn forgettable. There is the great shot as the camera continues to rise and rise showing the housing situation in Brazil.

I do think they have largely gotten Hulk right and now that he talks maybe they will give him another shot.

The second film in the series of " I have to fight an evil version of me" that MARVEL keeps thinking that they have to make... Hopefully Black Panther was the last in the series. I love the movies, but they need to expand their villain options. It doesn't help that the main actor was recast... so it feels a little more distant.... Maybe if they followed through with the Leader thread they left hanging.. it would feel more connected?

I’ve always been a fan of the movie.

The only other option is mindless army hordes they can smash repeatedly. Black Panther had both and without the effects budgets of the others. The worst part of nearly all Marvel movies is their end battles. I assume that's what the kids want though.

I was fine with the Hulk in that movie and have no idea why the later one would be considered a veiny CGI masterpiece either. Everything about Lee's version is superior. There is nothing good to come out of the later one.

Liked both Hulk movies. I credit Ang Lee for trying to make something that I am positive that absolutely no one expected for a HULK movie.

The 2008 version was far superior and even that is an average movie.

I didn't see it until I was well into the MCU, had never heard many positives about it. I was pleasantly surprised; while it's certainly at the lower end of the Universe, it was still pretty entertaining.

I would rather see hulk fight 3 dogs than a sound wave and that ridiculous battle with Abomination. Granted the Lee one had flaws, but the later one is just one big flaw.

Both movies were terrible. Hulk just doesn't work in a solo-movie.

I enjoyed it much more than Ang Lee's, which I've seen once and feel no desire to watch ever again.
Plus, that Hulk looked like he was made out of green play-doh.

Ang Lee's Hulk looked completely awful... And that Hulk jumping over miles of terrain?... Fucking ridiculous! Every time I have tried to watch Ang Lee's movie, I'm left confused by the plot of that mess of a film... I've given up trying to understand that piece of crap... I love the MCU film... It reminds me a lot of the Bill Bixby - Hulk TV Show which I loved... And the plot is easy to understand... Bruce is hiding out while looking for a cure, While General Ross tries to capture him to create more Super Soldiers. SIMPLE!

The sucky one definitely had a simple plot. I'm still not grasping how people thik the effects were better in the sucky one. The Hulk is green and yet the complaints are the Lee Hulk was the exact same shade of green.

He moves too quickly. The moves of the Hulk are the moves of a small man doing a Hulk impression. Too quick. Too precise.

The whole movie is about underestimating the Hulk's ability and overestimating his risk to humanity He's not lumbering. He's about as fast as he is in the Avengers movies. He's not even lumbering in the comic books. After all, why would his weight hinder him when he has unlimited strength? The second movie is about restraining him until he can magically control him at will simply for the final horrible boss battle when prior to that the dude couldn't even control him enough to have a boner without becoming the Hulk.

The worst thing about the Ang Lee film was the hackneyed ending.
There is nothing worse than the plot being a villain trying to get some power... and getting it... only to die in a "Too much power!! TOO MUCH POWER!!!" yelling explosion.
