Ya have te fight fire with fire so ya do. If yiz dont want your brains te bleed yiz must read dis as opposed to fleetsin shite. Listenin te a fleetsin poem is like listenin te a cat bein strangled ''I am Ireland''' by Patrick Pearse I am Ireland: I am older than the Hag of Beara. Great my glory: I who bore brave Cúchulainn. Great my shame: My own children that sold their mother. Great my pain: My irreconcilable enemies who harass me continually. Great my sorrow: That crowd, in whom I placed my trust, decayed. I am Ireland: I am lonelier than the Hag of Beara. '''Why de ye torture me?''' by Patrick Pearse Why are ye torturing me, O desires of my heart? Torturing me and paining me by day and by night? Hunting me as a poor deer would be hunted on a hill, A poor long-wearied deer with the hound-pack after him There's no ease to my paining in the loneliness of the hills, But the cry of the hunters terrifically to be heard, The cry of my desires haunting me without respite,— O ravening hounds, long is your run! No satisfying can come to my desires while I live, For the satisfaction I desired yesterday is no satisfaction, And the hound-pack is the greedier of the satisfaction it has got,— And forever I shall not sleep till I sleep in the grave. '''Let me carry your cross''' by Thomas Ashe Let me carry your cross for Ireland, Lord The hour of her trial draws near, And the pangs and the pains of the sacrifice May be borne by comrades dear

I like thefleetsin's poems. They are about current circumstances; the political and religious hypocrisy in this country.
Edit: If you don't like his poems, don't read them. This a free board, no one is forcing you to read posts you don't want to.

For some reason it's illegal to kill the racist, sexist, wimpy little shitstain. You can put him on ignore but it will still show the threads he starts and the titles of those threads which reveal he's about the most uneducated person on the board. He makes Cody look almost sma...okay, almost avera...okay, not quite as dumb as a box of rocks but still close.

I wrote this a few months ago here; it was fun. Least amount of effort I ever put into a “poem,” though.

This a free board, no one is forcing you to read posts you don't want to. academia always gets a lil flustered when i flounder in their fields of forlorn flatulence. i strive to reach epic distortions of well-heeled preconceived notions of what poetry means to me. admittedly with my tongue planted loosely in my butt cheek. ;-) and, as you have stated, no one is forcing anyone to read my scribblings. i am planted here on this notepad and here is where the portal was first opened. you probably never ran into dorian from the old imdb board. now there was a vision, where even my tongue went numb. . .

No, I don't remember a dorian from the old board, but I wasn't on IMDb for long before they shut it down You do a fine job of striving to reach epic distortions, and additionally, you use alliteration and that's one of my favorite things!

I see him as a cross between the Jester of the Board and the Town Crier As such he can be amusing, informative and sometimes inappropriately strident. A GozQuip " Poetry is in the butt of the beholder."

Lugh be happy that you are reading only cat star-angling poems and not RIP tributes for people who are not dead or are not famous cosmetologists and are being dissed by the tributer. Your Life could worse much worse if you went afield.

As I feel in the head, it’s a good time for bed, but before I’m to sleep, here is one thought to keep:
when we write in free verse, it mayn’t always sound worse, but here we all seem like a constant jet stream
of those words that churr from William Shatner!
