82.
With any such lists, there are bound to be disagreements. I'd rate The Body Snatcher (1945), missing from the list, higher than I Walked With A Zombie, for instance. And I miss the inclusion of such films as Lifeboat (1944), Crossfire (1947), The Hucksters (1947), The Three Musketeers (1948) and Battleground (1949) to name a few, so I guess I'd have to jettison some to accommodate them.
BTW, m'friend how'd you do?

Doghouse6Cool thing about that site is that anyone can make a list about anything... it's rather fun. Addictive tho' !
A paltry 63 for me. Some on that list I had never even heard of !

Doghouse6 Cool thing about that site is that anyone can make a list about anything... it's rather fun. Addictive tho' ! I'm terrible at lists. Has something to do with being repeatedly traumatized by supermarkets, I think. There were a couple of which I'd never heard and, to be perfectly candid, there are some I'll never make the effort to see. I've tried Red River a couple times, but it's just not my cup o'mud and I've given up, and films like She Wore A Yellow Ribbon and Champion simply hold no interest for me.

I ha seen 72 and I own 29, including all of the Powell/Pressberger films listed. Happy to see YANKEE DOODLE DANDY and DEAD OF NIGHT listed, as those are at the top of my list. Interesting that the Orson Welles JANE EYRE wasn't listed, but the storyline rip-off, I WALED WITH A ZOMBIE, made the list By the way, several films have not been seen by me because I don't watch films about animals as they usually upset me. I got into a lunchroom discussion one day where we were talking about films that upset us as children, most mentioned BAMBI as being the most disturbing. On of the conversation participants was Steve Peck, son of Gregory, who picked BAMBI. I turned to him and said "At least my father never asked me to shoot my pet deer!" in reference to THE YEARLING.

Even if you hate westerns you should watch the first two. Red River is the film that made Wayne a superstar and helped establish a new type of leading man in Clift. Yellow Ribbon is as much character study as western, with a romance subplot. Although I've always found Champion somewhat overrated (it's blatantly patterned on Garfield's Body & Soul) it made Douglas a star and popularized a new type of "heel-hero".

92. 100% sure I haven't seen Late Spring. Going by memory and my IMDb votes (which don't always include movies I watched before joining that site) I also haven't seen:
King's Row The Inspector General Dead Of Night Sahara In Which We Serve Letter From An Unknown Woman Intruder In The Dust
