There’s currently a rumor going around that Henry Cavill will appear in Shazam! What do you think?

Superman is ruined. Why taint a new character's movie with his presence?

Yeah definitely, be fun to see them have a scrap like they did in that Justice League Unlimited cartoon.

I'm gonna say sure for now, but it really depends on how they do it. If he is seamlessly worked into a cameo role, then go for it. But if it feels forced and thrown together so people can say "Oh cool that was Superman for a worthless 5 minute action scene," then they may as well just leave him out.

Oh yeah you might be right, between fighting Batman and the rest of the Justice League I suppose if he were to fight Shazam as well it would be a bit too much.
Yeah I like the mentor idea. Might have worked a bit better if the actor was younger but it could still work maybe.

No, not in Shazam's first movie. The only way it might work is if it is a very small cameo like in a mid credits scene or something.

I think having Superman in the first 'Shazam' movie especially in a significant role would overshadow the character and wouldn't allow them to establish him as his own superhero.

Yes, that movie will need all the help it can get.

Undecided, depends on script and execution. I dislike those awkward fanservice cameos in shows and movies, especially when everybody is expecting them anyway. Thus, SM would have to be integrated in a meaningful way.

Now that Superman is no longer an Ayn Randian neck-snapper, I'm down.

Now that Superman is no longer an Ayn Randian neck-snapper, I'm down. From what I read from you you should really brush up your education. You might also want to watch a movie called Superman II, you will be surprised especially towards the end.

Considering the way you butchered that sentence, I think that's what the educated call "irony". I don't think these characters are or should be defined by 40 year old movies. You could also reference the kills of Keaton's Batman, and I'd still feel the same way about Bat-Punisher in BvS. But while we're on the subject, maybe you should check out the TV and Donner cuts of Superman II. I'm afraid Snyder, in the infinite cuts of his movies, only has one Zod ending for Man of Steel.
