Not sure which site but one of them does this and it seems to work out fine. No matter what board you post from it goes to General Discussion board for a short time. That way people that want to see all the latest posts can check them out. Plus more people will see the posts and be able to reply if they want to.
For example. Say someone that never or hardly ever goes to the Actors and Actresses board but someone posts something there about an actor or actress they like they might respond if they saw it on the General Discussion board. Bottom line is more people would post. Worth a try?

Replied on GD but here it is again The "latest threads" and "latest posts" buttons allow you to see what has been posted everywhere. Posting on the correct board gets the threads "sorted" except of course for those people who insist on putting General Discussions as OTs on specific boards ~~ often without bothering to label them as OTs. It would be very difficult to move every thread to the proper board once posted on General Discussion.
short version : not a good idea, imo but anyway !
