I wish people would stop using this bullshit as an excuse for why Tony Stark should die in Avengers 3. His death would be the cheapest possible way to end this franchise. I'm fine with characters dying, but they better have a really good reason for it other than pandering to the manbabies who think "dark and gritty" is the only way to do things.

, just the lead, Ned Stark, in season one. Clumsiest and dumbest argument against Tony Stark not dying ever. Ignorance overload. But seriously, the cheap way would suit MCU well. How many times have Stark & co fake-died until now? Nobody cares anyway, I mean this is the franchise that managed to turn a Civil War into a merry clobber party and a mommy issue travesty, or the awesome Ragnarök myth into Fragglerock. So, it's save to say if Stark actually dies Marvelfans would't cry a salty river like Thor when getting a haircut, but believe that he comes back by magic dance off or enchanted raccoon turd.

Civil War was about a family falling apart. The Russo's cited Kramer vs Kramer as one of their main influences for the film. Having a character die needlessly would have undercut the ACTUAL stakes.

I always bring along a little treat for the Marvel fanboys to sniff, now sit and be a good boy. A Marvel fanboy who thinks the Dark Knight movies are the best superhero movies by far, who has never read a Marvel comic, who doesn’t own a single Marvel movie and who hasn’t seen Black Panther?

Game of Thrones doesn't have leads. Only point of view characters. Ned was definitely the lead in season one. Much of the cast was his family. He was best friends with the king. He has the most chapters in the first book - 15, second most was his wife at 11.

You are getting to know all the other characters. The 1st book was mostly about trying to figure out who the bad guy(s) are. You can't do that by being in everyone's head. Notice after that they go into almost everyone's head. I'd say that Ned was more of a tour guide than a lead character.

The one with the most screen time and dialogue - almost twice the time of any other character. The patriarch whose family are all major characters. The Warden of the North whose home is the seat of power for the largest of the Seven Kingdoms. The one doing research to figure out what's really going on. The one making sacrifices to stand up for his morals. You just hate being wrong.
