Are non CGI villains scary? I found Ultron to be one of the scariest villains mostly because everything he said was right.

I guess it depends on how they're done.
Granted outside of Heath Ledger joker I haven't seen a villain that I'd consider scary.

I thought the omelette "joke" (It wasn't a joke, but whatever) was scary because he was using omelette's as a metaphor about killing people in order to do what needs to be done.

Why would any villain be scary?

Even the omelette joke? ? Wow, you guys really fixate on one thing about a movie to hate forever, huh? What's more interesting is their need to defend things like the Martha scene, tornadocide or Batman's Mad Max parademon nightmare.

It depends. If they're completely seen out in good lightning then no, they aren't scary because you can kinda see their "fakeness". But then again, they're scarier than props and costume when seen in the same light.

Possibly. The Cloverfield Monster was kinda scary and he was CGI.
Is this thread about Thanos? He's not scary but is he really meant to be?
Either way I think practical effects are better for this kind of thing. I also think that regular insane humans are scarier than any kind of monster type.
I'd rather be in a room with Thanos or Ultron than Joker.

I'd rather be in a room with Thanos or Ultron than Joker. But you could beat the Joker easily in a fight.

I thought the omelette "joke" (It wasn't a joke, but whatever) was scary because he was using omelette's as a metaphor about killing people in order to do what needs to be done. oh yes, very very scary non-joke: Stark: Junior, you are breaking my heart. Thor: No one has to break anything. Ultron: Clearly you've never made an omelet. Stark: He beat me by ONE second. lol, very scary main villain dialogue indeed. I thought apart from cooking and breaking Tonys heart they were quoting a far superior film and villain: Joker: "You can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs" Joker- BATMAN 1989

No, just an outdated 80s flick. That moment when you realise the Tim Burton movies are only slightly better than the Joel Schumacher movies. Hell, even Burton himself doesn't think his first Batman flick is all that good. And it took the typical lazy way out by making Joker the real star of the flick.

But you could beat the Joker easily in a fight. You'd stand a better chance but Joker has actually given Batman a run for his money sometimes in a fight. He's also that sick that you wouldn't know how he'd kill you. Could plant a bomb in your stomach and then sew you shut. At least Thanos or Ultron would just kill you quick.
