Okay I have seen both seasons. And as most posters here have said, season two is better than season one.
Season one was about two heroines who blundered about getting in their own way. The dialog was great. And the acting was good. But the storyline was silly. Good thing I stuck around. Season two was much better.
The strongest plus of both seasons was the dialog. It was smart, interesting and realistic. Unlike what I usually see on TV or in movies. Which is usually stupid, dumb, unrealistic and contrived.
The second strongest plus of this series was the acting.
1) Rachel Taylor - "Trish" - strongest performance of all. Most interesting character in both seasons. And I agree with her character's philosophy - super powers are to be used for good, to help people. By anyone willing to assume the risk. I heard "Jessica Jones" was renewed for a third season. I hope Rachel Taylor comes back. She was the best reason to watch this show.
2) Krysten Ritter - "Jessica Jones" - second best performance. Good acting. But her character is a whiny little baby with a super bad attitude. Unlike Trish, she saw her super powers as a burden. Turned everything into a personal punishment. Saw everyone as an unneeded complication.ย Super bad attitude. Just like Debra in "Dexter" sees everything in black and white. Can't see the complexities of life. In other words, she is stupid, simple-minded, unrealistically idealistic, and often annoying.
3) Colby Minifee - "Robyn" - strongest performance of all. Stole every scene she was in. Especially impressive since she was only in 5 episodes of season one.
4) Janet McTeer - "Alissa" - Jessica's mother. Her character was one of many casualties of Jessica's immaturity.
Third best thing about this series was the action. Often when females play action figures, the action scenes look fake. I didn't notice that in here. They not only looked real. But they were entertaining.
What did you think?

Just finished season 2. Like it a lot. Excellently written and Krysten Ritter is great.

I love Jessica Jones. It is a great show and only second to Daredevil in terms of the Marvel Netflix series.

It's the best of the Marvel Netflix shows IMHO.

Jessica Jones is really boring. It's the worst superhero TV series ever. Watching paint dry is more entertaining than watching an episode of Jessica Jones.

Can't watch this superhero shit, but am hoping Krysten Ritter hasn't disabled her career with this bullshit, because really, she has a fantastic persona.

I watched episode 1 and then I think I started some other show so I didnโt continue. But I plan to one of these days.

Jessica Jones is really boring. It's the worst superhero TV series ever. Watching paint dry is more entertaining than watching an episode of Jessica Jones. The funny thing is that it is top five super hero shows of all time. Not a great list anyway, but it is easily better than every CW DC show. They all stink.

Her change from talk show host, to crime fighter? If that is it, I liked it. Because unlike Jessica who had the worst attitude, Trish had a good attitude --- heroic, courageous, enthusiastic, interested, ambitious and committed. I find characters like Jessica Jones cliche and depressing --- dark, personal problems, alcohol abuser, smart ass, promiscuous and anti-social. To me Trish was a fresh ray of light.

I really like season 1 and Kilgrave might be the best supervillain in the MCU. Top five at least.
My main takeaway from season 2 is that I hope season 3 opens with Trish getting run over by a bus. I am utterly baffled someone can still like her character after.

A lot of people walked away from season 2 hating Trish, and why wouldn't they? All season she was a jealous, sanctimonious whiner who continually ruined the lives of everyone around her.

And who was she jealous of? I'm not even sure she made anyone's life worse, compared to Trish who:
-broke a perfectly great guy's heart for no reason -pushed Malcolm, a recovering junkie, back into drugs -broke Jessica and Malcolm's friendship apart -drove the scientist to suicide -drove Jessica's mom to breaking out of prison as a result -got the female cop killed as a result of that -then ended her reign of terror by shooting Jessica's mom in the face right in front of Jessica
All while sitting on the highest of horses.
