Well, not a perfect sphere, but a sphere. I have a ship and crew sailing around the world right now, as I speak, and we're reaching the point where people think you fall off the edge, but I'm just going to sail all the way around the Aaaaggggghhhhhhhhhh!

You are traveling in a circle. You will never get to the edge. If you are fifty feet from the north pole and walk east, you will traverse a circle with radius 50-feet. If you're on the equator, you're merely traveling in a larger circle rather than heading towards the edge. Your turns are so minuscule that you can't detect them.
