Judging by the way Disney is handling Star Wars and the fact that the future of the franchise doesn't look so bright, I say very much so yeah.

Yes. It's the last canon Star Wars movie. Everything after is, by definition, fanfic.

Judging by the way Disney is handling Star Wars and the fact that the future of the franchise doesn't look so bright, I say very much so yeah. Most likely. The reason being that Disney is more interested in converting fans from their Disney Channel audience to their brand of SW than honoring canon or the established saga. It seems that the fact that Disney doesn't own all of the MCU, it has forced them to try to be more respectful to the established canon and hallmark characters. Unfortunately they own all of Star Wars and it has them full of themselves to the detriment of the episodic franchise. They are killing it with Disneyfication and Abrams style mystery box. This is a case where the old adage applies: "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." By the time they decide to change it's going to be too late.

TFA was trash and TLJ was even worse nothing will surpass ROTS.

Rogue One is essentially SW 3.5 & is my 2nd fav behind only ANH. Yet that one had built in classic lore & infrastructure, unlike TFA & beyond.

It wasn't even the last great Star Wars film in 2005.

it's likely the last truly original and imaginative Star Wars movie having genuin artistic value. As much as I enjoy R1 and loath VII, VIII these films have no substance alltogether.
