Can't think of anyone that Kat Dennings can play. Not messing with you about it. Really can't legitimately think of someone for her. Don't think she's athletic enough to be any of the Birds of Prey. And since it looks like they are merging the GCS and Birds of Prey movies together. Can't even see her being sexy/crazy enough for Poison Ivy. Or even plain sexy for Catwoman.

The one D.C. character who seems a solid fit for Kat Dennings I'd say is probably Cat Grant. Not even a superhero but it's up her alley... and chest size.

If Margot Robbie wasn't Harley (Black Canary, please) I'd say give her that, but... Like you said, her chest size gets in the way of such a petite, athletic character (as I see her). Yeah, Dennings would be a better fit for a character that can be humorous and, at the same time, not totally active. If there wasn't a chance of her being Batgirl, I'd say give her Oracle.

Before this thread got hijacked by casting barely talented actresses that we wanna bang, it started with news of DCEU hiring a director who has never directed anything remotely like this in her life. To be clear, not only has she never directed anything remotely like this in her life, she's only directed ONCE! ONE MOVIE! A low budget affair no one has ever seen. And 3 shorts. I've directed shorts. It aint that hard. None of this prepares her for whats in store for directing a major, big budget, action packed, fx laden movie like this. She may be immensely talented, maybe, but she's not right for this job at this point in her career. Rant over.

Sounds good, not too familiar with her work but I'd assume she has enough talent to be chosen for this type of project.

That and it seems to be the thing these days to lend a big budget blockbuster to a indie director. I guess Michelle MacLaren was unavailable?

Not a team movie or a movie that might be team vs team. Justice League had 2 big directors and they messed up a movie that had only 1 team and 1 villain with a faceless army. Birds of Prey has to actually do more than Guardians of the Galaxy in prepping us for all these new characters.

Be careful there, knowing WB's train of thought that could mean we end up with a Swamp Thing directed by Eli Roth.

Or just someone that can handle a lot of characters and not make it look like the movie belongs to one character.

I too have my reservations about hiring an unknown director to helm such a big project. The same could be said about Rian Johnson directing the Last Jedi so we will see.

Not really, Jenkins' film "Monster" got serious attention though it was mostly for Charlize Theron's performance and although she didn't direct a feature film for the screen till Wonder Woman she did do plenty of mainstream television such as Entourage, Arrested Development, and The Killing.

Maybe Ivy or Catwoman meow Dennings is too young for the DCEU version of Catwoman, ideally you'd want somebody closer to Ben Affleck's age. Compared to Affleck, Dennings looks like she could be his daughter.

Nice. So that just leaves getting a director for Batgirl, Justice League Dark, MOS2 and GL corps and all movies will have a director.
