1.
The sequels all feel very formulaic so by default I go with the first. I also think it had the most empathetic characters that spent at least a little time building up before slaughtering.

The critics liked FD5? I liked the final 15 minutes, but I couldn´t relate to the characters.
Having said that, my favorite, by far, is Final Destination 3. Favorite characters of all these movies. Then, Alex and Clear.
My ranking:
Final Destination 3 Final Destination Final Destination 2
Final Destination 5
Haven´t seen the fourth.

That's interesting, because 3 is one of my least favorites *because* of the characters. They feel like stereotypes from a Disney channel original movie. And they're all so stupid and hateful. 1 is my favorite, then 5, then 2. They make a decent trilogy.

We can agree to disagree here, but I think Mary Elizabeth Winstead run circles around any other actor/actress of the other movies (but I really like Alex and Clear from FD). I agree with you that the girls in the tanning beds are stereotypes, but I find them funny, and their deaths are the best in my vision.

The first is the best and the third is my favorite of the sequels. Not much of a fan of any of them though, but 1 and 3 are solid.

The original is my favourite, then 2, then 3, then 5. 4 is obviously worst.

I think Devon Sawa could probably keep up if he didn't crash his career into the ground, but yeah, she was good. But she's also playing the only character with any depth in the movie, besides Kevin, I suppose. Along with the tanning bed girls, there's the creeper lurking on them, the wangsta sister, there's the jock who dies screaming about football, there's the psychotic goth kid and his smug girlfriend. All so, so annoying. And they really make it feel like the Disney channel, which is not the tone I personally want for an FD movie. I like the darker, more serious tone which is largely why I like 1 and 5 most.

In my opinion, I think it's kind of a tough call to specify a favorite of the films... As I happen to like all of them... I think the first one was unique when it came out, and still holds up for the most part, since most of the rest of them have just been carbon copies... Final Destination 2 is the oddball one out of the five films, as it is a direct sequel to the first film, and has a unique plot of Death trying to clean up the timeline as a result of the survivors of the first film. I think this makes me like it just a little more than the other films... I think I would have to rate 1, 2 as being at the top of the list, while 3 & 4 & 5 as being at the bottom... The last film, ended up being a loose prequel to the first film, and the ending was really interesting... But the bridge disaster wasn't all that interesting as we have seen that before in other disaster films. I liked the race car disaster in #4 more than the rollercoaster disaster in #5, and so... Here is the order that I think I would place them. Final Destination 2 Final Destination 1 Final Destination 4 Final Destination 5 Final Destination 3

You guys actually remember these movies well enough to rank them?
According to my ratings on IMDb, number 1 and 5 are the highest, both with 5/10.
