Only if they moderated the site properly and fairly. I avoided the Politics/Religion boards for a reason, I don't need SJW's coming onto movie and TV show boards crying because they feel there is some injustice.

From what i saw there was many offensive posts about black people left up but if you criticised the obvious LGBT/feminist agenda in films at the moment ....then chances are they'd get deleted. The owners of Amazon are part of a certain elite in America and this elite are using the LGBT/feminist movement as useful idiots to crack down on free speech so I'm not surprised.

SinisterCreep I noticed some Film and TV boards were more moderated than others. There were plenty of racist comments against white people as well left up. I do find it odd that for years all of it seemed ok and then as Conservatives started to speak up the boards are gone.

Honestly, I'm still undecided. I have a funny feeling that if they do come back, then it's going to require Facebook. I've said this before and I'll say it again, I'm not using my real account. If they want people to post, then I'd like to remain anonymous.
Of course, I'll go where the traffic goes. Since most people signed up for this site after the boards closed, I decided to follow the masses.

That's what they'll probably do but i'd advise people against it. as you said people like to be able to post without everyone knowing who they are and looking at all their FaceSpy history. thankfully I've never signed up with FaceSpy. the powers that be would love everything all linked up so they can spy on people more easily. nobody needs Facebook anyway.

They were probably left up as the powers that be like a bit of divide and rule and getting everyone at each others throats [instead of looking at all the greedy billionaires ripping everyone off]. Truth is it looks like the owners of IMDB viewed the boards as an inconvenience. an inconveinience that had to be got rid of.

It does indeed. And as well as being a surveillance tool for the powers that be it's not social media at all. it's anti-social media. The main thing people do on that site is try and show how wonderful their lives are which makes other people envious. And many people seem to think they're not important if they're not on there. which is rubbish of course. plus not forgetting all the stupid self important selfies many people post [which end up in a giant database of their lives which is being created]

I don't know if I would. They burned us once before so who knows if they'll do it again in some other way. " Would you go back to the IMDB boards if they came back? " Absolutely NOT ! IMPO - IMDB Had it's chance way before this to recognize the petitions most of us signed to keep that board going and not be shut down . Instead this company totally disregard the petitions altogether and just did what it wanted to do for itself without even a moments thought or consideration as to what we members wanted at all . This message board is my new home now and will not go to any other after this one either . I totally agree with your statement here ck100 and thanks so much for your subject post too .

I would go back but it all would depend on the others going back too, who make the boards for me.
One thing I miss is seeing a movie then checking in on IMDb to hear other comments. Too often the comments consisted only of "this movie sucks" and "hate the woman". I don't miss that.

I would but most users have already moved on and it would be highly unlikely that they would return.

Yes. The individual boards and the thread messaging were great features of the IMDB site.

I would. I miss the individual boards. ^^^Me too^^^ Everyone does but maybe this site can start going more and more in that direction. I wonder if the British guy who started the site has regretted selling it to Amazon? there again maybe he doesn't as i should imagine he made quite a few bucks from it. just shows the danger of big corporations buying everything up.
