I'm asking. There are certain boards I post on, that when I open the reply box, this site suddenly becomes 'not secure', and while I was posting, hackers tried to hook me.
Please, what is this 'not secure' thing.

I am scared.
In certain situations, my computer is telling me my connection isn't secure.
Last situation, I had scammers or hackers try to get into my computer. Now.......
A) WHAT THE FUCKIN FUCK?
B) I got tagged. WTF is that about.

Getting tagged is nothing. It just means that you are being notified that someone wants to talk to you or add to something you said but didn't quote you. at sign and IMDB2.handle... no space in between and be sure write the handle that is below the avatar. Mine is deembastille.

what was one of the threads that was giving you an unsecured warning?
How do you know you had scammers trying to hack your computer?
Why is this the site's fault? Take your computer to be looked at.

B) I got tagged. WTF is that about. A secure connection simply means communications between you and a website are encrypted. The lack of a secure connection does not mean a site is a security risk; it simply means any information you send to that site is not encrypted. In some cases, it is not necessary to encrypt your data. Many websites where you can make comments (such as the original IMDb) do not encrypt your data except in cases where you are prompted for personal information (credit card numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, etc.). Proboards, likewise, only sets up a secure connection when you enter your login and password. If you are concerned, don't share personal information on public forums. Also, even a secure connection will not protect you from malicious links. It does not provide security in a broad sense, but rather, just in terms of what data you send and what data you receive to and from that site. If you are concerned about hackers and scammers, stay vigilant about what links you click, never offer up personal information to a site unless you can verify its identity and trustworthiness, and if a link warns you that you have a virus or that you've committed a crime or makes you a special offer, do not follow their instructions as it is almost always a scam. Hope this helps a bit.

I was halfway through typing a reply to a thread on the sports board and the window started redirecting to some spam page. This has happened before. Not sure if my cursor is over an ad when this happens and I inadvertently click it (I'm on a laptop with a touchpad), but something on the site is redirecting to spam/hacker pages under certain conditions.
(and the page I'm being redirected to clearly isn't a legit advertiser as most of the ads purport to be).
