And by the way, this should put to rest ALL the nonsense about CP3 choking in the playoffs. People who actually watch the dude play know he’s always been great. Those Clippers teams had shit luck with injuries and even while healthy Paul had no one else besides Griffin. Certainly not Jamal Crawford or Austin Rivers.
CP3 did not have a turnover tonight. That, plus the W’s incredibly sloppy play and turnovers, made a major difference in this game.

Doesnt sound good. Report is: "He has been evaluated and staff has confirmed it is a hamstring injury. He is getting treatment and will continue to get treatment leading next 48 hours leading to game 6. He will be re-evaluated tomorrow morning and Rockets staff will release the severity of this injury tomorrow morning." UH OH......$hit.. There you go Aj_June & hoskotafe3 My gut....Im thinking he sits game 6 and guts game 7. Either way we didnt need this....if we lose because of this that's a d@mn shame. Gordon gonna have to step up, he has when one goes down. Also....we cant go fn 6 deep. Moute gonna have to get minutes. What Antonio should do...play a few diff guys, short leashes. (If CP3 cant go game 6). See who looks good and go with them. We lose CP3....we cant go 6 deep. Youre asking for fatigue.

We can just hope now...all dreams rest on CP3 status.

As a pure PG Paul has been the best in the league for years. If Houston loses him they’re in serious trouble. Paul isn’t just a clutch scorer, elite passer and second offensive option, he’s a great defender and a stabilizing force. If the Rockets are forced to run their offense entirely through Harden that’s a problem because he’s extremely turnover prone, and he has too many of those possessions where he dribbles for 20 seconds and takes a three.

OK...if he's walking it isnt a grade 3. (That be the end of his season.) So yay for that....but now the bad news Grade 2...he's done for the WCF and the first 1-3 games of the finals (If we get there.) I know this might sound bad, pray for Boston. THEY SUCK CHUNKS on the road. Cleveland and Lebron will smell blood. They will see now CP3, Lebron will not let Harden beat him. Which means Gordon, Tucker, and Ariza have to step up. Boston is gritty man...I just feel safer playing them at home (Can anyone blame me? Come on, Lost 3 on the road to Mil, lost 2 to Cleveland on the road, and lost one to Philly. Their solo road victory was against Philly..that's 1-6 on the road.) So if it's grade 2...we probably wont have CP3 for the rest of the WCF and games 1-2 for the finals. If we MAKE the finals and go up 2-0...I say we probably don't see Paul till game 4. IF we somehow did win game 3...we might not see CP3 at all if we could do a sweep. If we lost game 4..we'd see him 5. If we lost game 3...we'd see him 4. PHEW ok hope youre following me, lets do this easier! CP3 grade 2 = NO WCF (No 6-7) IF IF IF IF we make the finals we probably dont see him games 1-2. If we go up 2-0, we dont see him game 3. If we went up 3-0, we dont see him game 4. If we swept, we dont see him. NOW Lets say we split 1-1. We do see CP3 game 3 imo. We go up 2-0 but lose game 3 We see him game 4. OK HOPE you got that, lol! NOW what to hope for is grade 1. Grade 1 he def sits game 6. He probably guts it game 7 (Wont be 100 percent, but he'd be a 60-80 percent range.) IF WE get past GSW, we might even rest him game 1 for the finals to be safe. OK...phew. Hope you got it all, I got lucky on another forum to talk to a guy who knew sprains. SO hope for grade 1! Id say.....90 percent shot CP3 DOES NOT PLAY GAME 6. We can't go 6 deep. Our lineup will be: Harden/Gordon/Ariza/Tucker/Capela Green will be the 6th man. NOW I ask..who do we give some run too? We cant just go 6 deep. That's insane. Moute? Anderson? Nene? Go insane and try Joe Johnson? I believe those are probably are next best 4. Im leaning on Moute. Maybe give Nene a minute or two. Man, we didnt need this! Im not happy about this but we can't go 6 deep. We gotta give someone a look. What can you do? Sucks right? We win, we should be like,"WHOOOOO UP 3-2, WE GOT A FN CHANCE!" Instead it almost feels like a loss doesnt it? Sigh

IF CP3 doesn't play then Rockets are not just in trouble but they are finished. It's not just CP3 though Rockets can't afford injury to any of their core 7 at the moment. Mbah was great in regular season and he would have helped in defense as well but he is not healthy and that's why he is not getting the minutes. Anderson is not playing because he is just a horrible defender. Rockets are missing the depth here. With 7 they could still win against any team but I am not sure they can win with 6 guys.
Westbrook is an extremely inefficient player at times and also makes his team mates bad in general. He can't be compared to CP3..ever.

Only thing Harden has....he has that "breath on him we call a foul' thing going for him. Im a Houston fan but I wont lie, you look at Harden wrong he's going to the line. Lets just be honest here. That's the one thing he has. I feel safer when CP3 has the ball tbh.

Damn Houston! Didn't think you had it in you!
This "NBA Finals" is pretty compelling to watch! Great game!
But.....
...wtf???
Seriously? CP3 is hurt?
Ok....how many times does this have to happen? Has anyone kept track of how many times the Warriors have benefited from the opposing team losing a key player (or two) in the playoffs? It's ridiculous. It's like they have a witch doctor on their payroll.
This could ruin the entire playoffs for me.

I'm already dreading the incoming LeBron hot takes, whatever happens in the next (two?) games.
If he loses, his detractors will triumphantly declare "LeBron sucks! He lost to a team without their two best scorers! Jordan would never have lost like that!"
If he wins, he'll have reached eight consecutive NBA Finals, yet to his detractors this is merely evidence that "the league is rigged/the league sucks/the East sucks/he only won 3 of those Finals, he sucks".

Hoping Iguodala gets back. How did the Cavs manage to get a 4-day break in that series? Oh, yeah, Lebron.
If the Rockets and Celtics win, I am pulling big time for Boston. I probably won't watch if it's Rockets-Cavs.

I am excited for Houston. I have been cheering for them in the West since the beginning of the season. I just thought that they realistically did not have a chance against the Warriors. I actually think CP3 being out will help the Rockets to upset in game 6. They will be expected to lose the game and I think Harden finally steps up and closes it out.

I've always hated LeBron, but I've found myself respecting him more than ever in this series. I didn't realize he led the league in minutes this season. The hot take here on Boston sports talk is that his being tired is an excuse. Lo friggin' l. The guy has been to a million straight Finals, he's been carrying his franchise all season and he led the league in minutes played at 33 years old. Damn right he's tired, he should be dead!

A bad defender can have a good game once in a while but very seldom I see a bad defender having 2 excellent games ( as a defender). I hope Harden gets his 3s back in next or may be the 7th game. Laws of averages tells us he will soon find his 3s.

I only saw the last 5 minutes. But from what I saw, Houston played great defense, but their offense sucked. The only players allowed to handle the ball were Hardin and Paul. And they missed their shots most of the time. But I guess this victory proves the age old adage --- offense sells tickets, defense wins championships.
