The reasons the few teams who came back from down 3-1 were all down 2-1 and weren't the teams down 3-0 are:
1. There have been a lot more teams down 2-1 and then 3-1 than down 3-0 and then 3-1. The vast majority of teams down 3-0 were swept.
2. Sweeps were often mismatches, 1-8 series and such.
So I give Philly at least as much chance from coming down from 3-1 as teams like Utah and New Orleans did. I don't buy the "no team has come back from down 3-0" narrative for some teams once they get to 3-1.

Close amazing game...if Bellineli could have made it a darn 3...ugh.
JJ tried, he fn tried. Huge 3.
Now I root for Boston and Houston. Philly, you made the final 5!

You couldn't get a much more exciting five game series. That was a lot more fun than watching Golden State and Houston chucking threes.

According to that article he is 7 feet. They measure with shoes on now. He's 6'10 1/2 without shoes. Noteworthy that they used to measure players without shoes in the 60s. So Wilt and Russell would be listed as taller today.

Next time some fan claims that the players today have it easy because the refs don't allow any contact I'm going to direct them to the end of the Celtics/Sixers game tonight. Geez.... No wonder today's players are in love with the 3 ball. If you take it to the basket late you get clobbered with no FT reward. If they let that kind of stuff go, the Celtics can definitely shut down Love and Lebron near the basket. --------------------- More proof these "awards" are without any real crediblity. Brad Stevens got....ZERO votes for Coach of the Year. So historians will look back on the "awards" this year and think Dwane Casey was a better coach than Brad Stevens and James Harden was a better player than Lebron James.

I think Jalen Rose broke down exactly why the Warriors will beat the Rockets easily. Go to 2:38:

No city anywhere has had a better sports year so far than Philly. The Phillies are playing great, the Sixers made the final five teams and won 50 games, the Eagles are the champs, and Villanova are the champs. It is a great time to be a Philly sports fan.

That's as hard fought a five game series as you're ever going to see, great heart by an undermanned C's squad. I still can't believe they've gotten this far after all the injuries they've had. I don't like their chances against Cleveland, but I didn't like them against Philly, so who knows? It's all gravy this post season.

It must have been on of the most competitive five game series I have seen. Three of the Celtics wins could just have easily gone the other way. I also feel the same about Cleveland, but it is hard to count out the Celtics right now. They keep proving everyone wrong.

Gotta love fans who take enjoyment in other teams/fans failures With all due respect, I think that's characteristic of every last one of us here. If I were a Sixers fan, I'd be wary of them falling into the Raptors trap of just great enough to being top 5-8 in the league. Because the top 4-6 will always kill you in May/June. 'Trusting the process' will need to embrace roster flexibility, as well as game planning flexing, or else they're doomed.

It was the inexperience of the Sixers that did them in, along with timely play making by the C's down the stretch. We lose that game without Marcus Smart last night, I absolutely believe that. And Horford has a clutch gene I didn't know he had before this post-season. Things are looking up for both teams in the future, as long as we stay healthy you can count on C's/Sixers playoff matchups for years to come.

Sixers opened as 1 pt favorites and are now 1 point dogs. Rockets are 1 1/2 point favorites over Golden State in Game 1, down from 2. When was the last time that the lower-seeded teams were favored to win both of the Conference Finals?

It's why I wanted to see Houston Vs Philly. I would have saw it as "Winner takes all." Houston took MLB Philly took NFL Who takes the NBA? Such a shame.

I am thinking about betting against my fav Rockets team. If I lose the bet then I will be happy that my team won and if my team losses then I will be so happy that 50$ loss won't matter much. Does anyone else think like this?
By the way, Rockets are 1.5 points favourite for game 1.
