I am thinking about betting against my fav Rockets team. If I lose the bet then I will be happy that my team won and if my team losses then I will be so happy that 50$ loss won't matter much. Does anyone else think like this? By the way, Rockets are 1.5 points favourite for game 1. it's going to be awesome. do you think Harden pulls one of his infamous disappearing acts? or the arrival of Paul this year has taken a little weight off his shoulders and he goes into this series calm, confident and and Houston rolls them? fyi - i never bet against 'my' team. just makes me feel 'dirty'.

I think Harden will have good moments and bad moments. There will be games in which he will disappear (that's the way he is). I am a loyal fan but I know that until and unless Rockets stars prove that they belong on big stage by beating Warriors any of my pro-Harden opinion will be just a fan's wishes. The good thing for Rockets is that even if Harden disappears in a game we have got CP3 who can also takeover a game. For that reason i have some faith and hope with this Rockets team. BTW, even when I will bet against my team, I will only support them. It's just that winning something out of their defeat will ease some pain. I watched almost 75 out of 82 games of rockets this season and I cannot explain how much Rockets mean to me.

The good thing for Rockets is that even if Harden disappears in a game we have got CP3 who can also takeover a game. That may work against lesser teams like Utah. But not against Golden State. Harden and CP3 will need to show up for EVERY game for Houston to win this series. If Harden disappears in a game, Houston won't win this series.

Not seeing anything to change my mind that the Celtics are a better team than the Cavs so far.

I'm so bummed. I thought this game was tonight. Could have been watching the Celtics jump all over the Cavs. Where's all the activity here?

Most probably turned it off already. I expect tomorrow to be another boring game. This will be followed by a boring Finals. Maybe just give the Warriors the trophy now and have the other teams play for a 2nd place trophy? Might be some drama in that.

Even Lebron is playing bad. The Celtics look like they have 4 of the top 5 players on the court.

The Celtics won't be making mistakes at the end of close games....assuming there are any close games.

Well as a C's fan I'm obviously pleased with this result, but I can't expect every game to go this way. It's the NBA, blowouts happen. Boston was making their shots, Cleveland wasn't. And while some of that can be attributed to the C's defense, a lot of it was just lethargy from the Cavs. They looked disinterested from the jump, not sure why.
What I like is everyone contributing. It's been a theme all post season and it's sill going strong. I can't point to any Celtic player and say he had a bad game. Rozier didn't shoot the ball particularly well but he didn't do anything to take the team out of their offense. Nobody forced anything, they just kept moving the ball and taking what the defense gave them (which was pretty much whatever they wanted).
I'm not throwing a parade after one game, but it's definitely something to build on as the series goes on. At least the C's know they can hang with Cleveland as opposed to last year's embarrassing series.

When you play against a team that is outclassing you, it tends to suck the life out of you. The Cavs tried to be aggressive several times and the Celtics would just shut it down. Poor Kevin Love was trying so hard to post up, but the Celtics defense just made him look hopeless down there. Some embarrassing blocked shots like that have a mental effect. From the looks of this thread, the Rockets better show us something tonight to give us a reason to watch this playoffs.

The Celtics' D didn't have much of an effect in the Cavs missing something like 16 3s to start the game.

It is hilarious that after one game everyone is now saying the Cavs will get swept. The games will be lucky to be close. Things like that. One thing I have learned after all of these years is to never count out Lebron. It was one game. Calm down.

Hooray, Cavs vs Warriors for the billionth time incoming.
Yeah, yeah, "it's not over," etc., but let's not pretend Boston actually has a chance. If any team stood a chance it was Houston and the Warriors proved yet again they can bend them over any time they damn well please.

Yawn....
So....how will we fool ourselves into believing someone can give the Warriors a challenge next season? Maybe Lebron goes to Houston or something...
