Okay, okay. Philly will win the NEXT three games!!! There’s no way Boston does this AGAIN! They have no chance! I REALLY mean it this time!

WOW....2-0 lead for Boston. They're 6-0 on their home floor, Im shocked. 21 Philly lead, Im sorry @screamingtreefrogs & DSDSquared but Simmons laid an egg tonight. JJ did all he could, and my god...Embiid is a rebound monster, they needed more from Ben tonight. 21 point lead and dang. DSD youre my boy...but so much for winning the next 3 my friend. YOU now must hold home court, and win game 5. Basically, imho, you gotta win 4 in a row. It can be done, but boy, what a hole here my friends.

You must actually be a Celtics fan, because you are actually thrilled with the rivalry which the Celtics actually own, you have rooted for them to be good. Sure the Sixers have a future, but what does it mean when the Celtics are doing this while they have 2 stars coming back next year and also a top pick they swindled out of? Obviously you are happier the Sixers lose in a great rivalry than win against a nobody

Predictions tonight! Raptors over Cavs: Lebron plays better, other Cavs regress, Raps remember they are better Sixers over Celtics: Kids learn from game 1 and they have more talent I feel like both will be by comfortable margins Nailed it! Wasn't buying into the "in their heads" thing with the Raptors but something is up there. Maybe they just don't play good defense on the Cavs role players. Suddenly those guys come to life after sucking hard against the Pacers? Coincidence? Kevin Love looks like a completely different player now. But if that's true that means the Cavs will be right back in trouble as soon as they meet a great defensive team. (i.e. Celtics and/or Warriors) Lebron hit some absurd fallaway shots. Like impossible stuff. Unguardable stuff. After the game he gave credit to Raptors coach Dwane Casey for helping to make him the player he is today. (Casey used to be an assistant for the Mavs) But....Casey should get some heat for this if the Cavs put them out again. Speaking of coaching. Brad Stevens is the man everyone is talking about. Saw one commentator compare him to Belichick and that the Sixers better get used to the idea of going up against him for the next decade. They play sound basketball and don't panic. What happens to the Sixers when the Celtics get their guys back? And what if they pick up a big free agent in the off season? (might need to do that because Kyrie's health problems are a real thing) Surprising drama in the East. Way more interesting than the West.

I don't know about that yet. It's going to be great. Boston's definitely going to be at the top of the East; however the Sixers are now a destination and have a ton of cash and trade chips. We'll get a better look how everything may play out this summer after the draft and free agency when the final product of 'The Process' is molded . None the less this is going to be great for years. This was really never about this year for Philly contending for a title. Next year I expect them to compete for the East (with Boston) and then compete for the East for the next decade or so with Boston. They're down 2-0. Going back home for 2. We've seen crazier things happen. Wouldn't shock me if they came back to Boston 2-2.

Celtics/Cavs - LeBron leads Cleveland past Boston, much like last year. Warriors will dispatch either of the Rockets/Jazz.
= Warriors/Cavaliers IV

EVERY single person on the TNT pregame show said the same exact thing. They should have. The way they came out in game two is exactly what I expected. I just never saw Saric and Simmons sucking so much. Jesus they played terrible. It is really frustrating. All I can hope now is that they win the next two at home. They are a very good home team and Boston struggles away from the Garden. Then I hope that momentum will carry over to game five in Boston. I am very worried though. What the heck is Brown doing? They just have not made any adjustments through two games. I love the way they play, but when things get stopped or the other team gets hot, you need to know how to slow it down and run an offense. The Sixers just seemed to fire up contested threes four seconds into the shot clock instead. It was hard to watch.
One thing I will say is that it is nice to see a straight up series. The refs have been great. There were a couple calls that were suspect late in the game, but that happens to every team in every NBA game. The flow of the game was great and they let them play. Boston is playing amazing. Philly is seemingly the better team, but Boston seems to come out and just play with more energy. They are better coached.

Lebron is just ridiculous. I mean, seriously. I would argue that he has never played better than he is right now. I feel like he could take me and three other posters from this thread to the Finals this year.

Well DSD was right, three Celtics didn't have career scoring nights. What do you attribute Terry Rozier's turnaround to? Stevens? Pretty impressive from a player who years past I considered hot garbage. Tatum looks terrific. And where'd this white guy who looks like a character from Braveheart come from? It's pretty impressive watching Stevens put players in the right spots bringing out the best in them and make adjustments. When the Sixers were up huge - and then started bricking 3s left and right - I was hoping Brown would have slowed the pace down just a bit and continued to feed Embiid down low in the block. Ho-Hum. Growing pains. Just hoping we hear nothing from Embiid over the next couple of days and they come out on Saturday 'angry'. They're getting outhustled which isn't good.

Not many guys on Philly played in the NCAA tournament. They also need a seasoned vet like Horford.

They have one - his name is Amir Johnson Call me crazy - but I'd like to see Dwight Howard backing up Embiid next year year. Not expected to be a 'superstar' - he'd be a 'piece' - he's a seasoned vet who can still bring some energy and give you some good minutes

It isn't a turnaround with Rozier, it's a maturation process. This is his third year and he's gotten better each offseason. He really opened my eyes in the summer league between his first and second years, and he's only gotten better since. He's worked hard and now he's finally getting an opportunity to shine. Tatum is awesome, just awesome. To see him play, you'd never know he was a rookie. I'm assuming you're talking about Baynes with the Braveheart reference? We got him from Detroit. An old school banger who plays with energy and heart. A perfect Brad Stevens player. Brad Stevens might just be the best coach in the NBA. I was excited as hell when we signed him because I saw what he did at Butler. Who takes Butler to back to back NCAA title games?!?! I knew he was good, but this is ridiculous. You lose your second best player on opening night and still lockup a 2 seed. You lose your best player down the stretch headed into the playoffs and win your first round matchup. You lose your leading scorer in the playoffs (Brown) and win without him, then win again with him coming off the bench at 35%. It's crazy.
