or sweets like pies cakes donuts and such? I'm not a big sweet eater even as a child. I can't remember the last time I ate a candy bar. I do eat dessert at family holiday meals. But as for eat sweets on a daily basics I don't. I don't even have a bag of sugar in the house as I eat my cereal plain.

No, I don't.
To me it is wasted calories that you could otherwise nourish your body with and I find overly sweet to be cloying.
I eat quality chocolate occasionally and if someone has prepared a dessert and made it themselves I will eat a small portion to enjoy.
I have an appreciation of fine baking butt I do not required it on a daily basis. The fructose in fresh or dried fruit is my preference for a healthy pick me up or treat.

I don't crave sweets. "Regulars, here, know that I do drink wine, and that may be a factor in off-setting that desire. (I dunno. ) But, I don't dislike all sweets. Dessert, is not appealing, because I prefer savory foods, and I find the sudden switch to something sugary to be almost "jarring." Special desserts ... like birthday cake ... are mandatory, and it's just part of the social contract to accept it. The candies that I do occasionally enjoy, all seem to have a bitter edge to them; dark chocolate, licorice, horehound, marzipan etc.. For baked items I like a fruity contrast - berry, apricot, green apple . Cinnamon and sea-salt, also give a "lift" to heavy sweetness. I, also, eat cereals without sugar. Carbs are sugar, enough. Doughnuts are revolting! I can't, even, stand the aroma of a doughnut shop.

Less and less. Don't eat any Halloween type candies except on rare occasion. Might get a hot donut once a year. Though, I've been eating one of these a day this week. 3/4 ounce, size of thick half dollar. A healtier half of a Mounds bar.

I don't have a bag of sugar in the house, either . . . Because I have so much sugar in other stuff I don't need to add any sugar to anything else. I love sweets.
When I was visiting my parents recently, one day all my mom ate all day was a donut and a Blizzard from Dairy Queen. She also smokes. She's as thin as a stick and she's healthy and in her 80s.
