wow, Some mcu fans thinks he is jealous? the ignorance.
cameron is not jealous and has nothing to prove.
cameron loved deadpool because of its creative originality.
he not only loved DOFP, he had a hand in the story telling of the movie and was giving Singer advice but then again, maybe he did rip DOFP (1981) for T2 (1992).
if he says avengers is about blowing up cities and is fatigue, it is because it is true, he is not the first to say such a thing.

I think Spielberg also said comic book movies were faddish garbage not unlike westerns decades ago, but I don't think he was referring to any one studio in particular.

Cameron has had input in Raimi's spiderman and later xmen movies. he nearly directed an xmen movie himself. when the deal evaporated , stan lee now urged him to direct spiderman but he ended up an an executive producer on spiderman 2002. read it here. screenrant.com/james-cameron-xmen-bob-hoskins-wolverine-angela-bassett-storm/Cameron's storm would have been Angela Basset. LOL Go figure that he hates avengers and thinks they just blow up cities.Cameron does not hate superhero movies, he hates avengers and it is not about jealously.

so another film artist slams MCU.LMAO. Do you think anyone believes he genuinely likes the movies? yeah no, that was him saving himself for full media mafia backlash, please just look at what he said next, the movie is about cgi blowing up cities. Now I like james but there is a part of me that did not like how he rewrote the ending of DOFP because he felt the original story was way too dark and all the characters in xmen dofp deserves a somewhat happy ending. But still, just goes to show the Disney MCU problem. He's slamming popular movies that get in the way of his popularity. Remember he also slammed Wonder Woman. Matter of fact, filmmakers have been doing that when they have something coming out. Cameron better be careful because him slamming Avengers means he's slamming a movie series his lead actress is a part of. Isn’t Sigourney Weaver also apart of the MCU?

I think Spielberg also said comic book movies were faddish garbage not unlike westerns decades ago, but I don't think he was referring to any one studio in particular. Westerns and comic book movies (if we mean superheroes) have very little in common. The most simplistic westerns may have the cowboy as a good guy, but there is tremendous variations. Superheroes are limited by their lack of limits--because they can do anything, the stakes can never be that high since they are next to immortal. Perhaps we will see a phenomenon similar to the western where Germany, Italy, and other countries made their own superhero movies, hundreds a year as happened with westerns, but I doubt it. Its too narrow a genre. This is why people are critical of them--the immortal character is dominating Variety's film news. The plot for Skyscraper sounds refreshing since the lead character is not immortal so it automatically creates more suspense/intrigue/possibilities. Cameron borrowed ideas from Cyborg 2087 along with Outer Limits for Terminator 1 and 2. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyborg_2087

I didn't think it was even out yet! It came out last August and surprisingly was the least watched of all the MCU Netflix shows despite them bringing them all together as one big event. ....Which thinking about it, happened to Justice League too.

Hes not wrong is he when he says every Avenger movie is basically heros flying around saving the world from CGI monsters. He has no right to complain about that when the only purpose of Avatar is to showcase how real Cameron can make his cgi monsters and aliens look. Oh, and it ended with a big ass cgi monster battle on an alien planet. 🤔

Aw, scared you’re going to lose your spot as director of highest grossing film? lol Cameron sure is a whiner--but little chance he's ever worried about any movie ever surpassing Titanic or Avatar, Titanic grossed $3.42 Billion dollars in today's money--Avatar grossed $3.29 Billion dollars in today's money

Even stranger that he's complaining about it when he's making 4 sequels that are going to rely heavily on CGI. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a publicity stunt to remind people he's still doing Avatar 2.

He did this when Wonder Woman came out and was tearing up the box office. Cameron just likes to stay in the news imo

says the guy who won Oscars, broke all box office records and who delivered bona fide movie classics of all genres. The man got no formula! But I bet he got sensitive nipples over the MCU...it overshaddows his legacy.
