Interstellar hands down. None of the other films contained a combination of great story, character, tension, emotion, musical brilliance and action/visuals. I like the other 3, I would say Arrival comes 2nd. But no other film in recent memory kept me wanting to go back for repeat viewings than Interstellar.
I know it has the lowest Rotten Tomatoes score but I feel a lot of that is down to Nolans super high standards in film making.

"The Martian" is really overrated. Nothing in the movie that hasn't already been done and in a much better way.

the martian
interstellar/arrival
interstellar/arrival (I've only seen arrival once to make a proper decision)
gravity (I kind of actually dislike it, feels as if relied too much on "everything must go wrong" to create drama)

How the fuck Interstellar is winning? It's the Nolan fanboys again? I like the film, but it's easily the weakest. Being in first place is just fucking ridiculous.

I wouldn't consider myself much of a fanboy of anything, I just found Interstellar the more impactful film. Gravity and The Martian are terrific films and I could watch each any time they pop on tv. I even own The Martian, cant remember if i picked up Gravity...but I just put Interstellar a notch ahead.

Not a big fan of Interstellar, but to each their own. I'd choose Arrival out of the four.

Arrival by a country mile. I absolutely loved the cerebral atmosphere and the think piece aspect about love and loss. Interstellar was great. I enjoyed Gravity, but I'm not sure it's something I could watch off the the big screen and enjoy it like I did in the theater.
I haven't seen The Martian. I'm not a Damon fan.

gravity. saw it in the theater, which is probably the only way it should be seen. not really interested in the rest. though the subjects are interesting.
