I just tried to sign-up for the message boards on Turner Classic Movies. I didn't know, until now, that they had a forum.
For the most part, the process is pretty standard ... screen name, email, password. The TOS is straightforward.
At first blush, the "security questions" seem simple enough, but It's apparent that I'm doing something wrong. The first question was "What is 6 - 3?" I pondered a while, and came up with "3." (You did not pass our security test.) I was given another question: "What is 5 + 3?" "8." (You did not pass our security test.) In answer to the puzzlement "What is 6 + 4?" I wrote "Ten." NOPE!
They have a "contact us" assistance, so I explained the problem/confusion in the message box. However, clicking on "submit" didn't work because (you did not pass our security test.)
Has anyone else tried this? What is obvious to others, that I am missing? I'm no math genius, but even I can add numbers up to ... and subtract numbers from under ... ten.
If the answer is painfully obvious, please be gentle in explaining. I'm already feeling very stupid.
