Theme Song Title: 'Good Ol' Boys' TV Show: The Dukes Of Hazzard (1979-1985) Artist: Waylon Jennings
The song became a #1 hit on the Billboard magazine Hot Country Singles chart in November of 1980.
I wish TV Shows would go back to having Theme Songs, they were so much fun! These days were lucky if we get a short instrumental ditty.

In 1965, after the success of James Bond in the flickers and “The Man From U.N.C.L.E. on the tube, a previously canceled British TV show called Danger Man was brought back in a full hour format. British intelligence John Drake was played by Patrick McGoohan. Danger Man was also shown in the U.S. under the title “Secret Agent”. It ran for 3 years. This second series is the one for which Johnny Rivers sang the theme song which reached #3 on the U.S. Top 40 chart in March 1966.

Lalo Schfrin's pulsating score for Mission: Impossible was all over the airwaves, AM kind especially, not long after the series premiered. It's not a favorite TV show theme for me but it brings back nice memories.
Mike Post's score for The Hill Street Blues worked wonders on that show. It was catchy, fast moving, sad and happy; and it epitomized the decade which the show was a product of: the Eighties.
