Venom trailer released

It looks great,can't wait for this mature movie. If only Spidey was in the sonyverse i could be happier

I actually like it. More importantly, I like Hardy's voice.

I think it looks like crap. Spider-Man 3 did it better 11 years ago, and their depiction of Venom was not a very high bar to jump.

There is no "Sonyverse", Sony wants to make stand alone movies with Spider-Man related characters that they can potentially, if successful enough, find a way to latch onto the larger MCU and make some of the profit off of it. It's what they hope they can do with their agreement to share the movie rights with Spider-Man. In other words, think of the MCU as a nice big pizza pie, Sony wants as much attention and as many hands grabbing slices of their own but instead of trying to compete they are trying to bake individual slices that they can squeeze to fit in the MCU's plate and hoping nobody is able to spot the difference. 

Secondly, there is nothing to suggest this will be a "mature" movie, and if it is fairly serious in the finished product that won't make it good for that reason alone - things like direction, storytelling, visual style, and acting are what actually make something legitimately worthwhile. 

Unfortunately not good humor.

So it could be like Suicide Squad?

Venom himself looks great, but I still don’t know if I’m feeling the movie as a whole.
