The 19th entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe! The film that is essentially celebrating the 10th anniversary of the MCU. But did the film deliver? YOU DECIDE!
Since the release date is upon us and there are peeps out there who have already seen the film, i figured now the good time to get this thread up!

I'll have to wait for my second viewing before I make a final decision on the rating.
I will say that this film is easily one of the best Imax experience that I've ever had!

Saw it twice.
8.5 Really liked most of it. Only a couple of spots where it felt a little rushed. Felt "down" when I left the theater too so that isn't as pleasant.

Absolutely sensational and breath-taking in every single way. Floored to the ground by everything in this film. 10/10, one of the best movies ever made, and possibly the best of Marvel to date. An epic 10 years in the making. This is why I love film. The only caveat, and maybe or maybe not I need to deduct a point for this, is the lack of backstory on Thanos. For those of us who read the comics and know his story for death, everything was so much more powerful because we knew what shaped and molded him as a being. I wonder if those who aren't aware of it would feel just as strongly about the film and his actions. Maybe this is one time where in order to fully appreciate the film, you do need to have read this specific story. Or better yet, maybe it will be included in the sequel. But either way, knowing what made the titan adds a lot more layers and depth.
As for the everything, truly one of the craziest endings in cinematic history. Almost certainly everyone feels that the dusted characters will come back, but it's hard to imagine how that will happen without some kind of time reversal - and to be perfectly honest, those are always tricky to pull off well. Something always doesn't add up or feels a bit cheap. So they have quite the challenge ahead of them, but I have faith they will pull it off. And if there is some kind of mass scale-resurrection in store, the question becomes who will benefit? Will Loki and Gamora be brought back too, or will they be excluded because their deaths were technically not part of the dusting? All in all, I absolutely loved everything. Thank you Marvel for this experience.

I have a similar problem. Not that there isn't a more developed backstory, but the fact they have seemed to exclude his obsession with Mistress Death completely. As of right now his motive is to basically stop overpopulation, but with unlimited power he could solve this problem in a number of ways. If they stuck to his comic story, then gaining the adulation of Death is a more logical and interesting motivator and fits his persona of the Mad Titan

Just got back from my second viewing. I've been debating on what my final rating is. I've thought about giving it a 9, hell even considered 10, but I'm giving it a 9.5. a rating that will probably get me labeled a fanboy, but fuck it! I really loved the film!
Pros:
+ Thanos. He's the heart and soul of the film. He's the one that the story center it's self on. Some may argue that focusing more on him and less on the Avengers and Guardians was a terrible choice because it takes away any more character development from them, but I'm glad they did.
Despite what some fanboys may say, there's nothing wrong with a villain getting top bill.
+ Score/music. Shout out to Alan for the terrific music that set the mood perfectly!
+ Great cast. EVERYONE brings their A game, especially Josh Brolin who surprised me as Thanos.
The interaction between various characters were handled really well. I wouldn't mind Thor staying as a member of the Guardians of the Galaxy!
+ The tone. It's funny where it works and warranted and it's Serious when it's needed.
+ Well directed. I honestly wish that the Russo Brothers made The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Joss Whedon, although he did good with the first Avengers film, dropped the ball with part 2. The Russo's knocked it out of the park with Infinity War!
The cons:
- While Thanks is great we didn't get a proper background. There's definitely a chunk of his story that wasn't told. Maybe in Avengers 4?
- bits of the story is missing. Including Xandar and the power stone. This film definitely should have been longer!

I gave it a 10. It’s just what I wanted from this penultimate chapter- a solid GOT episode 9. I love how we got here and I’m down with the landing.

1/10!!!!1 No, seriously? I think you've gotta put it in the 8.5 range, innit? It's a four-and-a-quarter-star film (out of five) for me. It was exactly what it should've been and (in a lot of cases) more. Thanos was a brick shithouse and stone cold ass-kicker, and in hindsight I'd be lying if I didn't admit that this is prolly how Fox should've done Apocalypse -- all menacing and huge; that's not to say I've changed my long-held position that Oscar Issac's performance is underrated, but that's neither here nor there. Standout performances from the Guardians, who REALLY greased the skids of what could've been an overlong slog, Thor, and Doctor Strange kept the flick engaging for me. Unlike most I thought the humor worked really well the vast majority of the time. Which brings me to my criticisms, and time was one of them. Someone ( politicidal?) said the film felt overlong, and it didn't necessarily feel that way for me. But: I did leave the cinema wondering whether IW (or "part 1," I guess) will still feel as epic as the first half of a ~5 hour film. Also, as I've still not seen Civil War or Homecoming, this was my first exposure to MCU Peter. Just wasn't crazy about this particular take on the character, although it's not as bad as Garfield in my view. (Innit?) All in all, a fun time.

8.5/10 Very much liked it and it may be tied with The Avengers for my favourite of the Cinematic Universe.
