Is Spielberg still out as director though? That’s a deal breaker for me. I’d otherwise have loved to see Mads as an Indy villain. Correct. James Mangold is attached to direct. Mangold is a good director. But I just can’t imagine Indy without Steven.

I’m a huge Pixar fan, and I love Peter Doctor’s previous movies, especially Inside Out. This movie wants to be Inside Out but it fails in every way.
It’s ending is painfully predictable from the first scene. Joe is a middle aged music teacher who hates his job and wants to be a professional musician. Hmm. Not hard to guess immediately that he will learn to appreciate life by the end of the film, giving up his dreams. But the movie doesn’t even have the competence to go with the satisfying obvious ending where Joe realizes his true calling is to be a music teacher, not a music star. No, it ends with him realizing that life has no point at all and doing what you love means nothing. Chasing fame and glory is a poisonous dream, but this dude just wants to play piano, something he is really good at, and the movie never stops trying to convince us he is wasting his life.
The idea of a man giving up on his dreams and accepting to be what he actually is can be bold and mature, but this movie muddles that up completely. The otherwise mediocre Monsters U actually does a decent job with that arc. Here it somehow becomes necessary to demonize creative passion in order to make the story work. The message wants to be “Don’t miss out on life by obsessing over lofty goals.”, but instead becomes “Don’t do what you love because it’ll be a waste of time. Just make sure you enjoy pizza instead.” The guy was literally doing what he loved (playing piano) his entire life so how can you tell us he didn’t enjoy anything? It makes no sense.
Then there’s the overly simplistic, inanely cliche depiction of afterlife that revels in its own pretentiousness without ever realizing how bland and nonsensical it is. I can put aside the disregard for genetics and upbringing but the concept of pre-life training to prepare souls with an educational experience they won’t remember is silly. They even jokingly demonstrate that this “life training” center doesn’t give a rat’s ass that they are deliberately sending loads of narcissistic sociopaths to Earth. So why should any of this even matter?
And somehow getting horribly injured and dying can be easily reversed if you can just get your soul back. How is he not injured AT ALL once he returns?! Dude fell down a drain and literally died for fuck sake!

Here is what Campea thinks. In summary, he doesnt think it's true but it is not so crazy because: 1. Tom Holland's contract is coming up 2. Disney and Sony were ready to kill their partnership before 3. Raimi is hot again 4. Tobey's name is hot again 5. Restoring old IP is the new (hollywood) hotness #5 is the big one, I think. Sony knows Spider-Man fans would see this as a dream come true. The only question is whether Toby and Raimi would do it. I tend to think not, unfortunately.

I got to see him play live a few times. He even stole a base! Very very cool. I was a big fan too. I did too, we used to drive to chicago when the A's played the white sox. That’s awesome. He was a really exciting player to watch.

Nice! I was a big fan of him too. My second favorite pitcher next to Felix Hernandez. I was such a big Felix fan that I used the term “Kings Court” on everything from my old Twitter handle to my old email address to my nickname for my backyard. LOL. Even had one of those yellow signs stapled to my garage. Nothing like watching a great pitcher at work.

Any idea how annoying it is if someone constantly says he wont pay for a service but does want to know everything thats going on on that service. Let me tell you I wasnt the only one annoyed about that. You were saying streaming sucked but boy what were you interested in the shows on that streaming service. So yeah, I was done answering questions. Guess I wasnt the only one acting like a dick. And again, if you just asked the question I wouldnt even have reacted. But you just had to tag me. And even then I only said fuck you. I didnt warn you, I didnt ban you. I said fuck you and you deleted. Your choice, Im fine with that. But dont say toxic fanbehavior had anything to do with it. Yes you are alright. Great guy. Always liked you, still do. I am reflecting. The consequences for Sakaar are clear at the moment. I lost three valuable members in the last few weeks. One I banned, two chose to leave. Do I do everything right? No. But am I toxic or evil? Dont think so. That’s the way these things go, I suppose. It doesn’t matter much to me now honestly. I won’t apologize, but I also don’t hold grudges. Mistakes were made by all. Time to move on now and go our separate ways.

LOLOLOL) Unfortunately toxicity has gotten worse in fandoms. To the point that I barely even want to discuss things I usually love to discuss. Honestly it's depressing. Definitely. I’m actually the biggest MCU fan I know (in real life)! Yet on some of these “fan” forums I’m treated like public enemy number one for not obsessively loving every bit of the franchise. A truly bizarre experience in the extremes of the internet.
