Kinda depends if they're closely related in tone and/or story, but usually I like to forget a bad sequel when thinking about the original(s). It's still there for me to enjoy it.

It's better than Salvation and Genisys but basically T3 if Sarah and John had switched roles. Still enjoyed it for what it was.
