The Hills Have Eyes Part II (1984) You know, I've still never seen that one. How is it? It's not very good but also not too terrible. I feel like it falls very short of the original though, especially with Wes Craven returning as director. It feels too safe compared to the raw disturbance of the first film.

It may happen again someday, though I doubt many kids read books these days.

This one will be very one-sided but you can't beat Robert. Jackie did the best with what he was given though.

That's a tough call. I enjoy Freddy's quips in the dark-humored sequels but I think I give the edge to serious Freddy. He was great being that way in 1, 2 and New Nightmare. Yeah, I think it's somewhere in the middle. He's still got his evil smile and a couple of one-liners, and he still clearly enjoys being sadistic and relishes in terrifying and killing his victims, but he doesn't turn it into a vaudeville act. I think Nightmare on Elm Street 2 is pretty much terrible, but I mostly like that version of the character. The 3rd one gets the balance right, for the most part. I feel like there are more good versions of serious Freddy than humorous Freddy. I really only liked that version of him in 3 and 4. 5 was where things started going downhill and as stated from FOES, he kinda sucked in Freddy’s Dead.

The remake wasn't half-bad, but I have to go with the original.

Don't really recognize the image, but all I can say is it looks like a set on a soundstage and not a real house. That suggests a studio film, but that's all I've got so far. Okay, I'll give away some stuff. It is actually a house and it's a studio film.
