9/10 - Changing Schwarzeneggar from villain to hero was a great move. The shape-shifting cop was pretty awesome too.

This movie did not age well at all. I used to like it, but saw it again a couple of weeks ago and could barely keep watching it. A 6 for me.
The first Terminator withstood time a heck of a lot better, imo.

Great action movie, and a worthy sequel.

B+
Tremendous though Arnie as good guy & Furlong have softened it over time. I only have the SE on dvd, which plays longer & creates more time between T1000 appearances. Still, I prefer my T2 with Kyle Reese flashback over any alternate. T1 A+ btw, my #24 all time.

I give it an 8 for pushing the FX envelope and for the spectacle, however it has some serious problems. The Terminator daddy stuff grates on my nerves, not helped by an awful narration "in an insane world it was the sanest choice."

8/10 Technically, it is a great film. I love the effects and the clever twist of having the terminator from the first film now as a good guy. I also thought the new liquid metal terminator was menacing. The actor who plays John Connor was good, too, good chemistry with Schwarzenegger. I thought the weakest part of the film was Linda Hamilton, who often was too over the top. But she wasn't terrible. Incredibly, this is the most recent Cameron film I would give at least an 8/10.

7/10. It's a great action packed thrill ride. But some stuff hasn't held up. Namely some of the humor and Edward Furlong's John Connor. He's kind of a brat.
