Or are you still buying them? When do we say, okay that's enough for DVDs?

I am still buying them.
I like to have DVDs and blu-rays. And i will keep buying them until they stop making them.

I don't buy DVDs at the rate I once did, but I still buy them.

I think that we should keep a physical media format, and ideally one that's big enough not to break easily or lose track of. If there's an apocalypse it would probably be easier to watch DVDs or Blu Rays than watch files on a computer.

I moved on from DVDs about 10-11 years ago. I only purchase Blu-ray.

I buy them 2nd hand. I mainly watch digital media now but I like knowing I still have a copy of something that is fairly safe from being removed from public access or altered to make it more acceptable.

My wants have become fewer overall and tend to be older titles, so most of my spending has shifted to premium Blu-ray reissues by the likes of Vinegar Syndrome and Arrow. If a title is unavailable in Blu-ray format, then I would buy a DVD version. Not looking to invest in anything above standard Blu-ray quality, though, as I do not own a system that warrants that superior a resolution level.

As a general rule, DVD is still cheaper than blu-ray, so I still buy DVD when I don't care about the increased resolution (which is often).
When blu-ray is the same price as DVD, then maybe it will be time to ditch DVD.

I moved on, but if I need to see a movie and I can only see it on DVD I will buy it.

Still buy them. Not being a batshit techno-nut, I see no imperative to 'move on' from older media formats. Why DVD's, videotapes, vinyl records and other prehistoric means of information preservation can't happily co-exist in the same universe as newer modes of same is beyond me. Those who prefer the older formats can have them, those who crave the newer can have those, without some either/or nonsense surrounding it. The whole thing reminds me of those who keep urging that books and printed matter should become obsolete as a result of digitalization, or that film photography should go to the grave because of same. Shush up, enjoy your favored choice, and leave others alone to do the same.

No, I'd say. Because sometimes for the blu ray and streaming they will edit some things out for some reason. And it could happen more and more eventually.
The more the world becomes more of a joke the more it could happen.

As a physical media guy, I must say no.

I still check out the DVD bin in Walmart occasionally and have bought movies from it in the last few years. One example, Rampage with Dewayne Johnson. Heck, I still have the wherewithal to convert older VHS to digital and not too long ago bought an old VHS movie, American Friends starring Michael Palin...a serious role, not a Monty Python-type role. It had not been made into a dvd.

I'm very invested in physical media, but I don't buy DVDs. That said I do frequently pick up Blu-ray and UHD.
