No, but sometimes Catman misses that connection dialogue sound. Back in the day when the Internet was a fun and exciting place. The sound reminded you that you were connecting to a virtual world. |

I used it until about a year and a half ago, and still have it as an emergency back up, but I haven't need it since.

I didn't think a dial up connection was strong enough to handle today's internet The average website in 2022 was 2.2MB in size. Dial-up is 5KB/s (6KB/s if you're really lucky). That would take roughly 7-8 minutes to load. www.pingdom.com/blog/loading-todays-sites-over-dialup/^^ That is from 2012. In 2017, the average website was 1.6MB. This is for the internet that is the communication in text. Streaming and viewing video is obviously out of the question. |
