Thoughts on these?
I just got a JBL 5.1 on Prime Day because I was looking for something with heavy bass and that had good reviews, but I'm kinda disappointed with it. Dunkirk sounded relatively good, but The Matrix was barely better than my TV speaker, and the dialogue of 300 may as well have been Yiddish for its clarity. My brother told me get something with Dolby Atmos, so I ordered a Samsung Q600B because it was still relatively cheap (Prime Day has long passed), so I'll see how that goes, although it doesn't have "upfiring speakers", which is apparently yet another thing you need to worry about.

Is a 3.1.2 (is that the Samsung model you mentioned?) as good as a 5.1?
I've a 24-sqm room (around 260 sq ft) and a 2006-era 32" Samsung with a 5.1 DVD player with 5.1 speaker system thrown in (same brand), and the TV right's next to me. That means I like a fuller sound but not loud. I was hoping to get a 5.1-channel soundbar that's cheap (i.e., the sound is good enough but not tinny).
