Did anyone watch this Netflix series from Germany? rating on IMDB almost 9/10
Season 1 was pretty good. In season 2, it started getty kind of dodgy. I'm almost finished with season 3, and I have no idea what the hell is going on. There are so many different actors playing different versions of the original characters, and the time and place keep jumping arounde very few minutes, it's impossible to keep track of things.
For the American viewers, anyone notice the uncanny resemblance between the actor playing the original Charlotte Doppler (the police chief) and tv news broadcaster Amy Goodman?

It was a fascinating show, and it never once waited for you to catch up, it just kept charging forward. Keeping track of the younger and older versions of the characters was a challenge, but man, so inventive and intelligent. Now that it's all over it can be binged all at once, whereas I had some gaps waiting for it to come back and kinda forgot some things.

An intriguing watch at the time, though it did become pretty convoluted as it went along. Put in the simplest terms it's a very complex take on "the bootstrap paradox". It became a bit hard to follow so many characters and timelines particularly a lot of the motivations. The finale was a bit of a deus ex machina but really not sure if they could have tied it up so neatly otherwise. I do like a good coda though, and while this one was a little uninspiring, it felt earned and satisfying. The sound design/soundtrack and cinematography are also exceptional. Would no doubt benefit from a second watch.
