And, was it because you're worried about the future. Or, was it because you're haunted by the past.

I haven't had any lately, but my last was a mild considering of jumping off a bridge. There are a few major reasons why I wouldn't actually go through with this.
1. It could cause an accident.
2. It is unfair to cause people the horror of seeing a dead body in the middle of the road from suicide, though it probably wouldn't be as messy as I am imagining. I once saw the dead body of someone who did kill themselves by jumping 4 stories and it wasn't very messy. Though the bridge I am talking about is probably closer to a 5 or 6 story building.
3. It would cause my loved ones to suffer.
4. What if I didn't die or death is something different than I suspect it is and I would significantly worse off than I were before I jumped?

American Poet, Dorothy Parker (1893-1967):
Razors pain you, Rivers are damp, Acids stain you, And, drugs cause cramp. Guns aren't lawful ... (obviously written years ago), Nooses give. Gas smells awful. You might as well live!
This is said to have been written for a friend of Parker's, who had attempted suicide more than once. It's is, also, said the she burst into his/her (?) hospital room, and said: "God Damn It! If you don't stop this, you're going to ruin your health!!"

Jumping off a tall ledge is the current reoccurring fantasy - which is new. Most of life I found relief in thoughts of gunshots to the head. Though I don’t think it was ever realistic for me; the former is definitely more likely to happen
Both I guess? Though I guess right now it’s the future that’s the problem.
