Anyone watch?
I like the main storyline, ie Invincible and his father, but my interest wanes whenever it cuts to the generic secondary cast of X-Men rejects and their distracting voice actors.

There's a meta scene in season 2 where Invincible goes to a signing and gets told about how they cut corners in animation, and the show proceeds to do all the things the guy says (ie not showing mouths when characters are talking, or using still images for wide shots). It's funny, but it got me thinking - instead of getting celebrities to do thankless voice work that voice actors would be happy to do and better suited for, why not use that money for the animation budget? Because honestly, the show kinda looks like shit. Meanwhile, having someone like Zazie Beet as Invincible's girlfriend just so you can go "oh, that's Zazie Beetz" when you pause the episode and all the actors' names appear on the Prime app, adds nothing to the actual enjoyment of the show.

I liked the first season, didn’t exactly love it.
I tried the second season and stopped like ten minutes in once they went with the multiverse. Getting tired of that trope.

Honestly the whole show is kinda built on a tired trope. "What if Superman were evil?" has basically become redundant. I couldn't help but notice season 1 was basically Man of Steel if it had been a bit better written and constructed. 2 by comparison just feels kinda aimless.

At risk of sounding like a hypocrite because I tend to love violent movies/TV shows, I also found the violence a little grotesque and over the top. Felt like it was just trying to be The Boys in animation.
