Sad day in St. Louis, especially for those of us who got to see Whiteyball in all its glory during the 80s. He'll always be a legend here, and no disrespect to TLR, but the best manager the Cardinals ever had. RIP

A lot of Cardinals greats have gone in the last few years.

Sad news, but at the ripe old age of 92, he lived a great life. RIP Whitey!

He took over a mediocre Cardinals team and made it into a championship team. Could of gotten another WS if not for the blown call by Don Denkinger in 1985. He also won a lots of games with the pre-championship Royals in the late 70s. Three years in a row, couldn't get past the Yankees in the LCS. Excellent manager. RIP
