All these set ups for future things we'll never see. The Flash was a pretty wild movie. I only have two more to go now.

I thought Flash was the best of the last batch that came out last year. It is amusing to think about that by the end Barry is stuck in the Schumacher-verse.

One of the better DCEU entries I think. I was surprised by the Wonder Woman cameos too, in a few of the movies, and I forgot Ben Affleck was meant to be in The Flash too as I thought he was done with the franchise, even though it looked like a bit of a reluctant role.
I don't understand why they can't just get everyone they can and do one more big Justice League (or Society) movie and wrap it up properly and give the characters the send off the deserve.

I am a bit disappointed there isn't a proper sendoff since I do like the cast they got for the most part and I still rather enjoy a good amount of the movies. Although I am still curious about the upcoming DCU and hoping this will have more of a cohesive vision and may be even better than the EU.

I find the entire batch rather sad. It was built on a flawed foundation to begin with with Snyder and Ayer's edgelord stuff, overcorrected into live action Saturday morning cartoon shows, and now is mercifully getting put down like Old Yeller. Even the stuff I liked, like the first Wonder Woman, got driven into the mud with 1984.

If they worry about confusing people, I don't think it would be an issue with current audiences. Currently we have what, 3 different Spider-Man movie universes? (MCU, Sony Venomverse, the animated one) And at least 2 Batman ones (Reeves and Joker). Not to mention all the different TV shows where some are connected and some not. So it's definitely par for the course for superhero media. So I see no reason DCEU and DC can't be around at the same time for a bit.
If moneys a concern for the suits, ZSJL seemed to be a huge success, and people love Cavill etc, who was keen to return last I heard, so people will definitely pay for another, especially if it's marketed as the final big battle. I think Warner Bros are just dumb.

As it was established earlier by Keaton's Bruce Wayne, time travel can lead to a new reality that ends up mashing different realities into one. Allen creates a new reality where some of the events of his life happened, but the Batman of the world just happens to resemble George Clooney, but it doesn't necessarily make the events of Schumacher films as having taken place earlier in its history.

It's not sad when they started drowning with Batman vs. Superman.

Pretty depressing that DCEU never peaked.

In retrospect, the DCEU was living on borrowed time ever since they brought on Joss Whedon to handle the JL reshoots. With all the behind the scenes shenanigans that were going on, under the ever changing regimes, it was for the best that the franchise be put out of its misery.
Unfortunately, I don’t have much confidence in James Gunn’s vision either, especially since he’s trying to have his cake and eat it by keeping his own stuff from the DCEU around.

I really only liked Birds of Prey, The Suicide Squad (i.e. the second one) and Wonder Woman. Haven't seen The Flash, Shazam 2 or Aquaman 2.
I've seen a few episodes of The Flash TV show and I like it. I like their Flash a lot more than Ezra Miller.

Why should behind the scenes drama in the past dictate what they do now and going forward? There were definitely a few years where the future seemed very uncertain, like if Ben Affleck or Cavill would ever return with their two characters being absent for a while. But it seemed much more promising in recent years with Cavill saying he was excited to return, Gadot cameoing, Dwayne Johnson looking forward to fighting Superman etc. Plus their setting up of the "Justice Society" to me at least, seemed like they were setting up a backup plan for in case they couldn't get everyone back.
I did not care much for Gunn's Suicide Squad. It was a bit better than the first one, but is still one of the weaker entries of the franchise. Definitely not good enough to warrant him taking the reigns.
