Tales From Topographic Oceans of film?
Because, it's overlong. It's just very long. And no matter how many times you watch it, you'll never understand what the hell is happening. And it's sprawling and it makes no sense.

I do, for once, actually agree with you. For me, LarryArabia , although some nice shots of sand and stuff.........is erratic, often boring and has quite unsatisfying storytelling.
After twice trekking there , that desert has no oasis for me.....and I won't be revisiting, despite however cold it gets.
I D0 like some Yessongs though.....but the mostly the shorter ones.

I’ve watched it twice and never actually felt the length until the very end. Almost like it’s 15-20 minutes too long. I don’t think it’s boring, though.

Agreed. Lovely cinematography but far too long. Bloated. Should have had a much shorter running time. And despite my interest in history, I didn't find it all that interesting either. A shame.

Still one of my favorite films. I never really tire of the cinematography. Its grand shots of the desert keep me invested. Only part of the film I don’t care for is the ending in Damascus.
