DCEU Is Set To Take Over The Superhero Film Genre
I've said this many times before. It's like World War II. The Nazis took control of Poland, Denmark, Norway, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and France and the Japanese took control of much of East Asia while America hadn't entered the war yet. But after America entered the war, the Allies went on to defeat the Nazis and the Japanese.
Similarly, MCU had their run while the DCEU was still being planned. But now that the DCEU is progressing forward, the DCEU will surpass MCU and dominate the CBM genre for the next decade and more.
It reminds me of that line at the end of Tora! Tora! Tora! when a Japanese admiral says "all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant". The DCEU has been a sleeping giant, but Wonder Woman has awakened the DCEU and now the DCEU is set to take over as the dominant franchise of the CBM genre.
DCEU is on the decline , Wonder Woman will not make good box office, lucky to make 650 million , Justice League, which should be competing with Avengers 1.6 billion , will fail to break a billion , Infinity wars will compete with Avengers money , Thor and spiderman will make more than Wonder Woman.
DCEU is on life support

faster than a fat chicks knickers on prom night, this will not beat Dr Strange or BVS box office, DCEU is on a downward spiral, justice league is next and that wont break a billion and will be rotten garbage.

Eh ? DCEU has peaked, Wonder Woman wont even beat BVS nor Dr Strange box office, me thinks you are a bit deluded , DCEU finally brings out a film that isnt rotten and you think they are going to dominate ? Marvel films are consistently good, DCEU is consistantly bad , im not sure how DCEU are going to get any where near Marvel let alone dominate

They wanted it to be comical, kasden wanted to take a more ridged approach, I do not want a comical Han solo movie, this is a good decision

Is the Ultimate Edition that much better? I've still not seen it. Depends on what your problems were with the TC. The story and themes are mostly the same, but the movie flows better, necessary context is given, Clark is fleshed out more, and it actually feels like a complete movie. 10 out of 10 for man of steel , are you fucking kidding me? Were you getting your dick sucked by your sister at the time ? That filmed sucked big time

So be it.......Jedi lets get shit back on track then, how many times have u been fingered by your older brother ? How many cocks fit in to your svinkter? Why are you such a prequel loving phaggot?

Funny, I don't remember a defecting stormtrooper, the Emperor and Yoda showing up, Tarkin surviving, more than one planet dying, an all out Imperial assault on the cantina as Kenobi and Han are talking, Leia being in overall command, Han and Luke hijacking a TIE fighter to escape a Star Destroyer, Vader getting shot by Chewie and losing a fight against Luke from combination of blood loss and exhaustion, etc..., in ANH.
nobody says it is a remake, but only a rehash of most of the ANH plot beats with some OT peppered in together with old EU materials ("Soft reboot"). Eg the defecting stormtrooper thing has been done as Han being a former stormtrooper in the old EU, and that was also done several times in the CW/Rebels cartoon shows and comics too (Finns arc was Hans in ANH obviously). The trick to solve this conundrum is: It's not everybody, but only dissenting factions of fandom: conservative purists vs progressives, and a large layered crowd in between. This is a multiple front civil war. There are heroes on both sides, evil is everywhere. At the end of the day for me TFA is a SW film that restored the mythos, wonder, SOUL, energy and FUN the franchise lost long ago. after being trounced by the far superior Matrix, Jar Jar'd to no end, and critically ripped, Star Wars has finally returned to its proper position in pop culture. TFA redeemed the franchise and I couldn't be happier.

Young Skywalker boy is found on Tatooine, leaves his home & learns about the Force from a wise old mentor (who dies), has the hots for a beautiful young royal girl & then fights in a space battle at the end (with R2D2) where he destroys the enemy vessel above the good guy's planet. End with ceremonial celebration & cheeky smiles between characters. That can be the synopsis for ANH or TPM. Take your pick Or you can let Lucas & explain it: “I create themes and I repeat those themes, in different chords and different arrangements. It’s very, very clear that I’m putting the characters in pretty much the same situations, sometimes even using the same dialogue.” – George Lucas

similar parallels can be found with TPM. In that case, the Luke / Rey role is kind of split between Padme, Obi Wan, and Anakin. But we still have an older mentor helping a youth (Padme) escape a planet, and another planet (Anakin), to go relay important information about an injustice to a group who can do something about it. The youth (Padme) ultimately decides to confront the oppressor, and the youth (Anakin this time) is able to destroy the thing (the droid control ship) causing the oppression. Along the way, the mentor ends up dying. People concerned about the "rehash" should really listen to the commentary track of TPM. (Or really any of the commentary tracks would work, but it is most apparent in the one with TPM.) George Lucas goes on and on about how these movies are all just a repeat of what has been said before. They just take various themes and stories and give them to others. Lando in ESB is a repeat of Han in ANH, different characters get limbs hacked off, different characters have "bad feelings" . . . It's a key aspect of what these movies are, hence why i and many others enjoyed the hell out of TFA you still are unwilling to distinguish between rhyming (in the sense of variations on a theme) and mindless copying. I agree there was too much of that rhyming in TPM (Ep2 and 3 were a lot better in this regard), but it is nothing compared to the beat by beat copying in TFA. In the end, nobody really complained too much about that aspect with TPM, ..but with TFA: Different story (wish we could say that about the actual plot). Apart from that, what happened to you man? Did they cut off your balls, put a muzzle on your foul mouthed yap...? You have changed dude!
Basically everyone hated the Prequels because they were nothing like the original trilogy. Now everyone hates the new one because it's too much like the originals....

it aint a rehash , its built on the same template as the OT, its a different story, a good story IMO, lots of unanswered questions.
if the OT was released now and never made in 1977, you would hate it
You like the story and that's fine. But unanswered questions is not a quality in this case. It's JJ not knowing where to go with the story( a la Lost). He's like : JJ:-hey, let's make Rey's parentage a mystery and not adress it in this one Producers: So... who should be Rey's parents? JJ: i don't give a fuck, i'm not making the next one wait till u watch the entire trilogy, you are assuming too much , why would you want to give it all away in film one?

It ain't a rehash? TFA is not a rehash but the prequels are?? That's the most butt backwards thing I've ever heard said about Star Wars! 😂 Thanks for that! I'll be cracking up off of that one for a long time! similar parallels can be found with TPM. In that case, the Luke / Rey role is kind of split between Padme, Obi Wan, and Anakin. So, tell me Tristan, how would you of handled a sequel trilogy , what would the story arc be ? that's not the point, but for what it's worth: 1- Don't rush - speed kills: Disney/LF wanted to hip-shoot a new film out on the market within 2 years. They did not even let Arndt finish his script, which was a rough draft at best. Instead of this they hackishly superimposed the ANH plus OT greatest his plot beats on the Arndt script, creating one of the shoddiest plot-holed script in blockbuster history. They should have release R1 as a nostalgia tool first (it's the easier one as you do not have to design a new time period), and only then release the new Saga entry . 2. Following up on Jedi is one of the toughest jobs ever, as the iconic villains are gone and you need come up with something new (story plus designs!), unless you wish to ruin the arcs and achievements of the OT. If you ever want to come close to the quality design and ideas of the original 6 you need time to develop ideas, worlds and designs. Instead we got repainted OT ships and copied world building, rehashed plot beats and a copycat Empire 2.0 including Doppelgänger characters. 3. I would have been fine with a Search for Luke mystery story with scavenger hunt elements a la Indy 3 or Search for Spock; rebels had a great episode with a shocking twist were they were looking for an lost Jedi. I certainly did not wish to see a badly copied ANH fanfiction rehash of the OT including Young Adult Emo Rens and Marey Sues. it aint a rehash , its built on the same template as the OT, its a different story, a good story IMO, lots of unanswered questions.
if the OT was released now and never made in 1977, you would hate it

the prequels are more Disneyfied than TFA says the dude with the XXX-seized Mickey Mouse dildo up his ass. Apart from that, the Disneyfication argument could be made for TPM, and it HAS often been made for ANH and RotJ (funny sidekicks, princesses, Ewoks etc). But the key episodes of AotC and RotS with their dystopian downfall of civilization and corruption themes (ending in tragedy) are as far away from the Disney formula as you can get within the confines of a space opera. So, tell me Tristan, how would you of handled a sequel trilogy , what would the story arc be ?

just look at the fecking fart video you sent, wtf is that doing in a star wars film then again TFA as a whole is one noisy fart video, you just need the nostrils to realize it when there is no fresh air to distinguish that from the fart smell. TFA is a cacophony of farts you get from greedily feeding on the OT and not be able to properly digest it. Glad you enjoy the smell though. how come TFA is rated higher than the prequels by practically every credible critic? why does it have a higher audience rating? why did it make double the at the box office , simple answer, cause its better, end of discussion

I believe that was a digestion sound, not a fart , know your digestion noises cauldenphaggott, I'm sick of your shit A digestion sound? Yikes. That's way more vulgar than the poor Eopie or whatever haplessly attempting to break wind discretely to no avail; who among us hasn't stumbled upon such a social landmine in polite company? Why, just last Christmas I let out a long, proud, wet ripper at the table that could've probably rivaled a Turkish prison in terms of aroma, and we all had a great laugh about it as a family and really bonded over it. The Eopie is a sympathetic character! You don't want to watch a two-hour Disney spin off about him? the prequels are more Disneyfied than TFA

The Prequels were also rehashes of the original trilogy , TFA is superior to the prequels, just look at the fecking fart video you sent, wtf is that doing in a star wars film Yeah, they would never do something as low-road as a bodily function joke in the sainted original trilogy! So in other words episode 9 could turn out to be a train wreck of originality covered over by OT rehash and Disney princess pixie dust! In other words Tarpals could have da same reaction to 9 as hims had to TFA. Like'n this!... The Prequels were also rehashes of the original trilogy , TFA is superior to the prequels, just look at the fecking fart video you sent, wtf is that doing in a star wars film
