Yeah they're fantastic games. There was Arkham Origins too which was also pretty damn good to say it was made by another developer.
They're easily the best superhero games. Arkham City was one of the PS3's best games.

I never played Origins because I heard it wasn't so great. It was as good as the other three, maybe too much focus on combat as opposed to stealth and some questionable story decisions but it was a solid game, probably an 8/10. It had some of the best boss fights in the series and Joker was done very well in it.

I love all four of them. I think if I had to rank them it'd be...
City Knight Asylum Origins
...but they're all great. There are still rumors that Rocksteady wants to tackle a Superman game, which I'd be all for.

Haven't played Origins, but really like the other three. Not sure how I'd rank them.
Asylum is a classic, but I found the end disappointing. A boss fight with a roided up Joker, that's it?
City is probably the best, no real problems with it.
The batmobile got tiring in Knight, but I loved the Joker stuff. The ending face off with him and Batman is probably the most epic and satisfying time I've had playing a game.

That one moment where you're forced to stealth attack those multiple tanks & dart away after each hit was a buzzkill. Probably the game's low point. And frustrating because it was rather enclosed & given strange camera angles whenever you get caught...

While the Batmobile was fun to drive around it definitely took up more of the game than it should have.
The lack of bosses was disappointing to begin with but what few they had were vehicle based.
If they ever do another game they should keep the Batmobile but get rid of the drone battles, vehicle bosses and just it's general importance to the story missions.
