This is getting ridiculous MCU has really screwed up the Spider-Man character. Unfortunately, MCU will probably also screw up the X-Men and Fantastic Four too.

He's so bitch-made in this movie. Getting taken hostage by *Starlord*?

I haven’t seen Infinity War, but I was annoyed by the Iron Man parts in Homecoming. I’m not particularly fond of the idea of Spidey’s having an Iron Man suit.

He's so bitch-made in this movie. Getting taken hostage by *Starlord*? LOL!!! Agreed. Spider-Man is supposed to be stronger than Starlord. How does Spider-Man get taken hostage by a guy with no superpowers? Did Starlord ambush him? But doesn't Spider-Man have Spider-Sense? Oh yeah, Spider-Man also got ambushed by a bad guy in SMH so either MCU Spider-Man doesn't have Spider-Sense or MCU writers just can't write properly.

This is getting ridiculous MCU has really screwed up the Spider-Man character. You never read Spider-Man comics (you have said as much in earlier posts), so stop going on about this as if you are an authority of some sort. Any "knowledge" you claim to have seems to be based on other adaptations for the screen.

There've been plenty of non-comic depictions of Spider-Man, more than enough to contextualize this current one and even (gasp!) prefer another version.

But he has constantly stated it is the worst adaptation of Spider-Man and it's character without it seems knowing much about the source. If it's his least favourite film version of the character fair enough, say so, instead of constantly saying MCU actually screwed up the character, which they did not. It perhaps should also be remembered that he had come to this opinion of Spider-Man before he saw Homecoming

If it's HIS least favorite adaptation of the character, then to him the MCU screwed up relative to other studios' attempts to adapt the character. Incidentally, I've not seen CW or SMH, and I hate everything I've heard about this version of him. Based on everything I've read (besides, incidentally, a shit-ton of ASM as well as every single issue of USM) about the MCU version it would've been better if they've just went all the way and adapted Miles Morales.

Iron Spider outfit is from the comics designed by Stark during Civil War. Lots of mentoring by Stark around that time.

I agree.
I like the character well enough, but Spiderman being able to do anything is silly to me. I didn't like it in Homecoming either.
It works against his actual ability.

Then it's his least favourite version of Spider-Man...how can he comment on how good an adaptation it is? He doesn't like how that adaptation turned out, but can he say whether as an adaptation it is good or not? The Thing From Another World is a loved movie. Some prefer it to The Thing (1982). But if they read the book there is no way they could say it's the best adaptation (it is in fact one of the worst book to film adaptations ever)

He doesn't have to've read the source material, although it helps.

I don't know how Marvel could screw F4. We had 3 shitty movies so far, it's not like they could make something as atrocious as Suicide Squad
