And they won't want to see it multiple times. I do not agree. I don't think this is true for a significant number of kids. These are my reasons.
1. Kids know there are going to be other movies including a sequel to this one. They are fully aware of cliff hanger endings and have seen people "die" and come back in multiple movies and shows.
2. Kids really don't scare as easy as some people think. Kids are able to distinguish between fantasy violence and real (graphic) violence.
3. I still remember when I was a kid. Here are some of my favorite movies from my pre-teen years.
-All of the Planet of the Apes movies (where virtually everyone dies)
-The Magnificent 7 (where most of them die)
-The Dirty Dozen (where most of them die)
-The Alamo (1960) (where everyone dies)
-The Universal monster movies (which are just monsters killing people most of the time)
4. My favorite show as a kid was Star Trek where every character died and came back at one time or another.
5. Kids will love the action and humor in this fantastic movie and will want to watch it over and over.
6. As far as box office goes, I don't think young kids make up most of the repeat viewings. I think fanboys are the ones that do that.

Well Dragon Ball Z was always hugely popular and the main characters kept dying and coming back to life all the time in that.
So yeah I don't buy into this theory either.
I'd have been overjoyed seeing this as a kid. When I was kid all there was where the Joel Schumacher Batman movies and I remember thinking how cool it was when they mentioned Superman in it.

Kids know what death is. Since Bambi. For god's sake, I hate this whenever it comes up. Now I'm not saying let a 6 year old watch The Godfather or Goodfellas but letting them watch a superhero movie with deaths of major characters is not gonna kill them.

I mean I've watched the Friday the 13th films when I was a kid.
Are there going to be kids who are upset at the film? Sure, but I doubt it'll be many.
Besides with the internet kids have access to a lot more fucked up stuff.

Now I'm not saying let a 6 year old watch The Godfather or Goodfellas but letting them watch a superhero movie with deaths of major characters is not gonna kill them. Well your Bambi example shows the difference. Sure there was a death and it was a big deal to kids. Obviously that's a famous example since we are still talking about it. But Bambi didn't die at the end. The ending was upbeat. This one...the bad guy actually wins. The good guys lose. I saw 3 kids at my showing who were visibly upset/angry about that. The Collider people on YouTube saw it so much they are joking about the "soundtrack being the sound of children's tears". We think of Empire Strikes Back as a movie where the bad guys win....but even that one ended with some measure of hope as we see Luke and Leia together looking out a window. This one takes dark and dreary to a new level. I've seen it twice and the audience was silent and stunned at the end both times. (not in a bad way...it was just that powerful) I really don't think this is the type of thing kids will want to watch over and over. I might compare it to the ending of Civil War too. Not the most upbeat ending. It did have more hope than this one though. At least they broke Cap's team out of prison and Cap sent Tony a cell phone and a note. And that dreary ending effected the legs for CW imo. Positive emotions are just more pleasant than negative ones. That's just how it works in our brains. So I'll be really curious how the legs look for IW and if kids are liking it.

I hope every parent on earth boycotts the MCU going forward.

Kids will be fine with Infinity War. Of course they will. The movies you mentioned had real stakes, real character deaths, and were made for adults. As opposed to kiddie action and McMarvel humor. Innit?

This movie was made for kids though. Yes, because the overwhelming majority of kids movies on the marketplace have heroic characters be killed by being stabbed with blades, choked, pushed off of mountains, or disintegrated into dust and have the bad guy win in the end. Was that present in any of the Alvin & The Chipmunks or Nut Job movies? I don't think so.

Well, The Incredibles had a cave full of dead superheroes, much like Ego’s cave full of his children’s skeletons, and the kids that grew up on that are eagerly taking their kids to the long awaited sequel soon.
