Let's say this was the first MCU movie you'd ever seen so ignore all your previous opinions of the characters up till now.
As of just Infinity War, who would you say was the best character in the movie?
I'd say it was either Iron Man or perhaps Doctor Strange actually, who was alright in his own movie but he was done pretty well here.

Doctor Strange was awesome here!
My favorite hero in this one was Thor. He had a full emotional arc, amazing physical feats, 2 killer fantasy and space side stories, and some great low key humor.

Easily Thanos. How is this even arguable?

If you’d never seen a Marvel film or read a comic, I guess Dr Strange.

Thanos is the best character because he is essentially the only character. The others are relying on our experience spending time with them in previous movies. That isn't a criticism.
As far as who the best hero is, Thor is the the new top dog in the MCU after Ragnarok.

Thanos for sure, but as I mentioned in a previous thread, Doctor Strange was the standout hero of this movie. And his actions are really going to payoff down the road so it'll only get better after A4 comes out.

Not sure I have a favorite.
The ones that impressed me the most:
Scarlet Witch - I thought her power was goofy until this movie.
Doctor Strange - He had the best battle with Thanos
Iron Man - For tenacity

If you had never seen any other MCU movie, Thanos. It was his movie really.
But since almost everyone has seen other MCU movies, it could be anyone from Dr Strange, to Thor, to Iron Man, to Spider-Man....or even Drax for the best lines.

I had forgotten Thor actually. Yeah he'd be up there.
Thanks, Thor, Iron Man and Doctor Strange.

Thor is the most brave and is willing to give the biggest sacrifice to win so him.

Thanos.
I loved him so much in this film that I rooted for him the entire film.
I feel sorry for future Marvel villains.

Other than Thanos, it would have to be Thor. He faced the biggest loss, he made the biggest sacrifice, he was the only one with a proper arc, the only one with a significant power up through the movie, plus he killed the most villains and was the only one to really challenge Thanos one on one.

Thanos. I loved him so much in this film that I rooted for him the entire film. I feel sorry for future Marvel villains. So basically you want grounded stories that make villains the stars and aren't wondrous.

Thor is the most brave and is willing to give the biggest sacrifice to win so him. Where are people getting this perspective? I'm truly curious why Thor was braver than anyone rushing to their death.
