Dude, did you ever lose someone close to you? It's very hard to function normally after having lost someone close to you. The fact that Thor lost his brother, his friends, his near entire race and then still continued to fight the good fight is something no one else in this movie had to go through. For all he knows, he might be the last living Asgardian. None of the other characters can say the same. He already knows he's not the last living Asgardian But you seem to be implying that while others have felt loss in this very movie, ONLY Thor knows real loss and thus he s the best character. I wouldn't agree with that if that's what you;re saying. So you're saying there are other heroes in this movie who've just had their homeworld destroyed, has had their brother and oldest friends killed just a day before, has had their remaining people nearly killed to extinction and still fought on? Please name me who these other heroes are.

It would have been nice if his losses, outside of Loki, weren't largely off camera. It is odd that Ragnarok is so lighthearted considering his whole world was destroyed along with his hammer and a lost eye. I liked Ragnarok, but it's wildly overrated. I didn't mind that most of it was off-screen, as the most important part ( the death of Loki ) was on-screen and it was very effective. I'm not a Loki fan, so I felt his usefulness was done after the Avengers movie. I too think Ragnarok is overrated but it was actually as dark as this felt. I never felt the danger as being universe wide because they showed so little of the universe.

Let's say this was the first MCU movie you'd ever seen so ignore all your previous opinions of the characters up till now. As of just Infinity War, who would you say was the best character in the movie? I'd say it was either Iron Man or perhaps Doctor Strange actually, who was alright in his own movie but he was done pretty well here. Thanos

I like villains with motivations that I can either relate to or have an emotional understanding. Thanos gave me that. I don't know how anyone could relate to that motivation. It's simple. Overpopulation leads to Mass use of resources, resources that can run scarce. We currently have a big concern about our planet and how the overpopulation is effecting it. Thanos motivation reminded me just how fuck our planet is because of our species. So his motivation and solution made a lot of sense to me.
