The fears go beyond the standard monopoly concerns. Last November, Disney banned the Los Angeles Times from attending press screenings in retaliation for the paper’s coverage of the company’s political influence in Anaheim. Eventually, the company reversed that decision after protests and threats of boycott from other publications. However, for many journalists, the prospect of Disney having further power to exact this kind of anti-press mentality is downright chilling. If they end up holding that much force in the industry – with over 40% of the media under their thumb – then what is to stop them from banning journalists from press screenings or events simply because they didn’t like a critical piece they wrote?MCU has produced plenty of really shitty movies, such as The Incredible Hulk, Captain America: The First Avenger, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, and Black Panther. But the reason critics keep giving good reviews for those shitty MCU movies is because Disney bullies them by threatening to ban them from press screenings and events.

If Disney is so willing to bully critics and journalists into giving Marvel movies good reviews then why not bully them into giving good reviews to A Wrinkle in Time, the two Alice in Wonderlands starring Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, or the Angelina Jolie led Maleficent? What about Pixar's Cars 2? Mars Needs Moms? The Pirates of the Caribbean sequels? Tomorrowland?

Nothing was mentioned about Disney bullying publications into giving good reviews. That was merely a hypothetical.
I do think they have some bullying behaviour though. Wasn't there a thing when Star Wars and Hateful Eight came out?
