I was surprised at seeing scrollbars here and messages to view oversize images elsewhere, since I've spent over a year on another Proboard where that is never seen. The second image had to be resized (Proboards recently started supporting resizing with the mouse) down to 600x600 here, but not there where this parameter is standard: [ img style="max-width:100%;"] The parameter also makes the posting of side-by-side images easier.

i agree. many of the threads that showcase pictures are just too long due to the amount of pictures used by posters within the threads. most of the pictures are as large as the space of the post box but that is just one. beyond that the post box gets longer and longer.
why can't they be shortened into thumbnails with that little message of 'click here for full size' so we can see them better?
[and if people are going to go all crazy with ten or more pics == or even worse ten or more pics OF THE SAME THING!, they should have at least half a brain to put these things in 'spoilers so we can click on them as we want.]

I'm not entirely sure I understand the issue. There is a plugin activated that resizes images on the board and I've not seen any images that need a scrollbar once it changes the formatting. It's easy enough to add max-width to the style of images but I honestly don't see the problem with the current set up. Should they all be scaled to the same size? Sorry if I'm missing what you're getting at.

the issue is exactly what happens whenever we post a few pics. the post gets hellalong. there is no such thing as stringing pictures together, next to each other horizontally. it is all vertically and as i said, hellalong!

All the same size? That would be disastrous. Scaling down images that are too large does make sense. I've learned to do it by hand here--spoiled by the board that supplies the max-width parameter. This is in the Default BBCode for every post I make:
If I forget to remove it, no problem! (The unescaped version was in the middle of that last sentence.)

How'd you do that brah??? yeah, pretty sure that is one pic, brah. you can tell by no spaces between each pic. All you have to do is quote it in BBCode to see the four pix. You can see that one is 96 pixels high, but the other three are 95. That's something I'd fix if I posted it again. The originals were stacked like this: You can see the first time this appeared on The Sein here. And my reply here.

You still see the messages above to view in a separate window. Those are missing on the other board. An additional step is required here. The maximum dimension is 600 pixels and you can achieve that by resizing with the mouse in preview mode.
